ULI Report Dropkicks "Coliseum Crushers" Right In The Chops!

Posted on Facebook this morning:

"At a meeting this morning in the Venetian Ballroom of The Peabody Hotel, the Urban Land Institute (ULI) presented its report to the City of Memphis regarding the City's controversial Fairgrounds redevelopment plans which, by extension, may determine the fate of the Mid-South Coliseum.

Notable attendees at the meeting included Mayor A.C. Wharton; Robert Lipscomb of the Division of Housing & Community Development; and... Jason Wexler, President of Business Operations for the Memphis Grizzlies.

The ULI's most anticipated recommendation, what to do with the Coliseum, sent the Coliseum Crushers reeling as the ULI panel "strongly" recommended the City should keep and reuse the Coliseum as a smaller stage for concerts, graduations and sporting events. The Coliseum Crushers (or, those who supported razing the historic arena) have yet to comment on this devastating defeat.

Meanwhile, jubilant Coliseum supporters are celebrating their vindication on social media."
