Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame member passes away
Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame member (inducted in 2007), Cora Combs, passed away in Nashville, TN Sunday morning.
Cora Combs was a true pioneer in professional wrestling. She, along with Princess Ti Ti, were the first female wrestlers ever to have a match in the state of New York. The match took place March 3, 1972 in New York City. Prior to that women's wrestling had been banned in the state of New York. Later, Cora and her daughter, Debbie, formed the only mother-daughter tag team in the history of professional wrestling. She was truly one of the last remaining links to what many refer to as the "golden age" of professional wrestling.
