OWO celebrates three-year anniversary this Saturday Night in Amory,Ms.


 
AMORY – In the three years since the Outlaw Wrestling Organization first branded itself, it has attracted national names in the wrestling world to Northeast Mississippi, raised funds during its numerous benefit shows and made regular people embrace their wrestling fan. East Amory Community Center will commemorate OWO’s third anniversary June 13 with approximately 20 wrestlers who were there from the beginning.
“We started out in Amory, and we’re going back to where we came from,” said OWO commissioner Terrell Moore. “We had a really good year this year, and we’re trying to move forward and see what next year will bring.”
Moore said a Rock and Wrestling event is planned for July at an undetermined venue featuring Amory rock band Killjay.
In addition to a host of local wrestlers on the card for Saturday, there will be Wrestler of the Year and Fan of the Year awards, along with other tokens of appreciation.
Doors open at 5:45 p.m., and belltime is at 7 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults, and $8 for ages 10 and younger. Advanced tickets at Knight’s Drive-In and Nathan’s One Stop are $1 less. For more information, call 315-9709.
