Rey Mysterio agrees to contract extension

The latest on Rey Mysterio is that he has agreed to a one year contract renewal with WWE per a call by Vince McMahon according to a report by Dave Meltzer. WWE has the options in their contracts to be frozen in the event of an injury and it ended up that Mysterio owed them time so he renewed through May of 2015. It remains to be seen how frequent he will be used in the ring given his injury issues the last few years. Mysterio is out with a hand injury right now.

Who will control UCW Union City, TN after PoppaMania June 7th ?

Tonight Mr. Biro upped the Stakes in a move that may cost Becky Biro dearly come PoppaMania on Saturday Night June 7th. Mr. Biro made a deal, that if his team of the WMD's beat "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner and "Sexy" Sarge, he would gain 20% more of Becky's share in UCW. This would make him the 80% majority owner. But if Steiner and Sarge win, Becky would gain 20% of Mr. Biro's current share putting Becky in the majority with 60% of the company. Where as now she only holds 40%.

Mr. Biro seems to want total control, as his current 60% of power is not enough. His ego and so called status grow with each passing week. What will it take to stop this egomaniac? Sarge says he and Steiner have the WMD's number and will not only win the tag belts, but will put Becky back in the drivers seat over UCW where she belongs.

Only time will tell what will occur. Be there Saturday June 7th to bare witness to what will happen on the most important night in UCW history.

NWA announces newest promotion

The National Wrestling Alliance announced its newest promotion, Austin, Texas-based Inspire Pro Wrestling. The announcement was made by NWA CEO Chris Ronquillo on Sunday, May 25 at Inspire Pro’s “In Their Blood” event following a title defense by NWA Women’s World Champion Barbi Hayden.

Inspire Pro was founded in July 2013 by Justin Bissonnette, Joshua Montgomery and Max Meehan, with the simple mission of providing quality professional wrestling to the Austin, Texas fan base. They have attempted to achieve that mission by providing the top, up and coming stars of Texas a platform in which to showcase their abilities against the best from across the country. They have brought in top level talents such as world traveled competitor Chris Hero, as well as New Japan Pro Wrestling's Takaaki Watanabe on multiple occasions. Their most recent event in the month of April featured talents representing three major professional wrestling companies in Japan, a fact that Inspire Pro takes a great deal of pride in saying.

In less than a year’s time, they have generated buzz and excitement through their live events held at the Marchesa Hall & Theater, as well as through their full events being viewed on their YouTube channel, generating thousands of views. With their one year anniversary not far away, Inspire Pro Wrestling is continually expanding and reaching beyond Austin, Texas. And, with their brand new partnership with the National Wrestling Alliance, they are sure to expand even further.

SPW 55 results from Selmer. TN 05/24/14.

RESULTS
Southern Premier Wrestling
SPW 55: Exteme Makeover (Wrestling Edition)!
May 24, 2014
Selmer, TN
National Guard Armory
The show opened with new SPW Heavyweight Champion Cory Daniels, SPW Liaison to the Senior Partners Zed Gecko and Katelynn Pryde making their way to the ring. Katelynn Pryde was carrying a large frame that housed a picture of “Psycho Butcher” Andrew Palmer with the words “In Memoriam” and the dates “October 26, 2013-May 10, 2014”. Gecko spoke to the crowd about Cory Daniels killed the career of Andrew Palmer at “SPW 56: Final Crisis!” and how, just like any other dying thing, a funeral was in order. He explained the meaning of the dates, not only symbolizing the time of Andrew Palmer’s SPW Championship reign, but also the only time any of the fans cared about Palmer at all! Gecko also wanted the fans to know that he, Daniels, and Pryde were not the only people celebrating the death of Palmer’s career and invited the rest of the funeral procession to ringside. SPW West Tennessee Champion “Drop Dead” Dale Wylde, “K-SWISS” Kirk Stanley, Christian Shane, and “Big” Mic Vicious made their way to the ring carrying a life-size metal casket with them! Now it was Daniels’ turn to speak. He talked about his long relationship with Palmer, their friendship, and that his only regret was that it took him this long to see the true Andrew Palmer. Daniels finished out their interview by smashing and breaking the framed picture of Andrew Palmer.

Match 1: “Matty Ice” Matt Taylor defeated Jared Ethan via pinfall with a schoolboy. This match came about when Jared Ethan made his way to ringside and actually called out Matt Taylor for this match, vowing to avenge the loss to Taylor from the previous show. Ethan came close to defeating Taylor, but was victim to a toe stomp, followed by a schoolboy for the pin.

Match 2: Cody Dean and “The Lone Wolf” Rickey Smith defeated “Anarchy” of Quiksilver and “Pure Violence” Tim Edwards when Dean pinned Edwards after a combination Busiaku knee strike from Dean and an enziguri from Smith. Dean and Smith made their way to the ring thinking they would be in an SPW Tag Team Championship match with the “Super Best Friends”, but Zed Gecko made his way to ringside and informed them that he didn’t care if they had won a #1 Contenders Match the previous week, he was going to give the championship match to a team that deserved it. He told Dean and Smith that they would still be in tag team action and brought out “Anarchy” for the match.
During intermission, “Psycho Butcher” Andrew Palmer entered the building through the front door and made his way to the ring. Palmer stated he had heard about the funeral for his career earlier in the evening and that his career was alive and well and that he would prove that by taking back the SPW Heavyweight Championship from Cory Daniels, tonight! SPW Heavyweight Champion Cory Daniels, Katelynn Pryde, and Zed Gecko made their way to ringside. Gecko informed Palmer that if he wanted another championship match, he would have to work his way back up into contention. He could start that ascension tonight, as he had a match…RIGHT NOW!

Match 3: “K-SWISS” Kirk Stanley defeated “Psycho Butcher” Andrew Palmer via pinfall after Katelynn Pryde distracted the referee and Cory Daniels knocked Palmer unconscious with the SPW Championship belt. Palmer was at a disadvantage from the beginning, having not known about this match and being dressed in street clothes. He was able to fight back though and connected with his patented “Blue Thunder Bomb”. Katelynn Pryde jumped onto the ring apron and got the attention of the referee and Palmer long enough for Daniels to do his damage with the SPW Championship belt. “K-SWISS” then covered Palmer for the three-count.

Match 4: SPW Tag Team Championship Match-"The Super Best Friends” of Austin Carrier and Fleur de Lethal w/Kellen James defeated Christian Shane and “Big” Mic Vicious to retain the SPW Tag Team Championship when Lethal pinned Shane. The closing moments of this match saw Carrier and Vicious fighting around the ringside area, while Shane and Lethal continued in the ring. As the referee followed Carrier and Vicious, Shane was able to connect with a spear and cover Lethal. Having no referee to count, Shane got up and began shouting for an official. Cody Dean and Rickey Smith made their way to the ring and when Shane turned around, he was met with a Busiaku knee strike from Dean. Dean and Smith then pulled Lethal on top of Shane and left the ring as Kellen James got referee Scott Stevens back to the ring to make the three-count. (Fifth Defense)

Match 5: Extreme Makeover Match (Non-Title, No Countout, No Disqualification, Hand Mirror On a Pole)-"Lethal” Steven Davis defeated SPW West Tennessee Champion “Drop Dead” Dale Wylde via pinfall after retrieving the mirror and breaking it over the head of Wylde. These two men have feuded over the last several months, with Wylde winning the SPW West Tennessee Championship from Davis at SPW’s 1st Anniversary show after breaking his hand mirror over the head of Davis. Even with no championship on the line, Davis and Wylde hit one another with everything they had, including a vicious over-the-knee gutbuster from the second rope by Wylde onto Davis! Final moments of this match saw both men standing on the top rope vying for the mirror. Davis was able to send Wylde sailing off the top rope and remove the mirror from the pole. As he climbed down the ropes, he encountered Wylde, on his knees, sticking out his hand and apologizing for what he had done. Davis stood there as the crowd shouted and Wylde begged for mercy. Davis finally shook the hand of Wylde, before breaking the mirror over Wylde’s head and scoring the pinfall. “Lethal” Steven Davis celebrated his victory with the crowd, as a bloody “Drop Dead” Dale Wylde was taken to the locker room by security to close out the show.

HOLLYWOOD JIMMY BLAYLOCK BURNED AT THE HANDS OF BRODY HAWK THIS PAST SATURDAY AT EPW

Hollywood Jimmy Blaylock, the Clique and Brody Hawk are at crossroad since Hawk left the Clique a few weeks ago. The Clique injured Hawk and put him out for four to six weeks and Hawk promised Blaylock he would suffer pain like he is suffering. Hawk made good on his promise Saturday night. I haven't been able to get an update on Hollywood's condition but stay tuned to Wrestling News Center for continuing information as we receive it.

SGWA THIS FRIDAY NIGHT IN SOUTHAVEN, MS

EPW WRESTLING THIS PAST SATURDAY NIGHT...BRODY HAWK EXPOSES HOLLYWOOD JIMMY BLAYLOCK'S SECRETS ..... LITERALLY TURNS UP THE HEAT

The opening of the show brought out Referee Jonathan "Turtle" Calvery to discuss his ruling on the match the week before that was under review. This was whether there was interference from Hollywood Jimmy Blaylock to help Bill "Superstar"Dundee obtaihn the EPW Heavyweight Championship belt from "The Boogie Woogie Boy" Gary Valiant. Turtle told the fans he did not get to view the tape but everyone would review it together. The DVD would not come on and Blaylock came from the back holding the only copy of last week's show. A struggle began between Blaylock and Turtle causing the DVD to be destroyed leaving no way to prove if Blaylock interfered. Turtle was livid and let Blaylock know in no uncertain terms that he was.
The opening match was between Hollywood clique member Buzz Harley w/ Hollywood Jimmy Blaylock taking on Cousin Petey. Thisn one went back and forth but in the end Cousin Petey was the one getting the win. Harley wasn't at all pleased with the out come.
Kross asked Brody Hawk to come out to the announcer's table to give a report on his injury that he sustained at the hands of the Hollywood Clique a few weeks ago. Hawk told the fans that he had torn ligaments in his ankle and would be out for four to six weeks to recover. Hollywood Jimmy Blaylock and the Clique decided to come out and harass Hawk. Hawk turned the table and began to reveal Blaylock's "little dirty secrets" to each of the Clique making Blaylock look really bad. Of course he denied every accusation. Bill "Superstar" Dundee came out and interjected himself into the mix causing a few of Hawk's friends to join him. This one ended with several issued challenges for the night.
This match was a tag tag team challenge match between Bonecrusher and Cassanova Kidd taking on Hollywood Clique members Soultaker and Mitch Toretta w/Hollywood Jimmy Blaylock. These four men started from the beginning trying to hurt each other. there is no love lost between them that is for sure. This one got wild and ended up on the floor causing Referee Turtle to end the match with a double count out. It was Toretta and Soultaker who were left laying on the floor in front of the announcer's table. This one is far from over.
The semi main was a non title match between the EPW Heavyweight Champion Bill "Superstar" Dundee w/ Hollywood Jimmy Blaylock taking on ex Clique member Neil "The Real Deal" Taylor. This match was action from the ringing of the bell. Blaylock was his normal self at ringside causing havoc for Taylor. Referee Johnathan "Turtle" Calvery had a ruff night getting slammed by Dundee taking him down. Dundee and Blaylock claim that Brody Hawk came from the back and hit Dundee from behind causing Taylor to come up with the 1 2 3 and get the win.
The main event this past Saturday night was a battle royal with the winner getting a shot at Bill "Superstar" Dundee's EPW Heavyweight Championship belt. Participants in the battle were Bonecrusher, Cassanova Kidd, Cousin Petey, Neil Taylor, Soultaker, Buzz Taylor, and Mitch Toretta. Hollywood Jimmy Blaylock was at ringside and as usual trying underhanded tactics when Brody Hawk came from the back and mad good on his threat to cause Blaylock the pain they caused him. Hawk didn't come alone he brought with him a fire ball from hell tossing in straight into Blaylock's face. Soultaker immediately jumped outn of the ring to assist his manager causing him to be eliminated by count out. The match continued with each being tossed over the top. Bonecrusher and Toretta had their own battle outside the ring having to be separated by security and sent to the back. The final two in the contest ended up being Cassanova Kidd and Neil "The Real Deal" Taylor going at it. A surprise visitor from the back came to the ring as Dundee caused Taylor to get the win over Kidd. The crowd was completely shocked as Dundee turned to Kross at the announcer's table and smiled saying he could beat Taylor. Can he back that statement up.......
