In the opening
Dark Match,
"Shogun"
SHANE GIBSON

defeated
"Big"
TIM HAYNIE

via 1-2-3 pinfall
with a
rollup.

At the official beginning
of the annual Southern Wrestling Alliance show
in Crestview, FL
all of the wrestlers
had gathered all around
outside the ring

to pay their respects
in a 10 bell salute
to two professional wrestling legends
who had passed away
within the last calendar year;
two men
who most certainly
had left
their respective, indelible marks
in the world
of professional wrestling,
and most especially
in the Gulf Coast area,
those being
former WCW Superstar
Brad Armstrong
(June 15th, 1961 - November 1st, 2012),

who BTW had wrestled
in a Tag Team Match
along with his father
WWE Hall Of Famer
"The Bullet"
Bob Armstrong
at one of the annual
SWA-FL shows
back on November 17th
of 2007

and
legendary professional wrestling manager
Percy Pringle III
(William Moody),
a.k.a.
WWE Legend
Paul Bearer
(April 10th, 1954 - March 5th, 2013).

The annual Southern Wrestling Alliance show
got off to a very unruly start
as pro-Canadian sympathizer
Chris Tighe
(left)
along with his manager
"Big Dawg"
Ryan Mills
(right)
came to the ring
to rudely interrupt the singing
of the United States National Anthem,
which was sung by
Bravon Childs,
the daughter of the
SWA-FL promoter,
ring announcer
and retired independent professional wrestler
Mr. Fantasy.

Chris Tighe
made some distasteful, disparaging comments
on the microphone
is saying that the
9/11 attacks
back in 2001
and the recent bombing attack
in Boston, MA
would NEVER happen
in Canada
(in spite of the fact
that a bombing threat
had been thwarted
in Toronto, Canada
around the same time
of the tragedy in Boston, MA).

If that was not enough,
his manager
"Big Dawg" Ryan Mills
had sung a rendition
of the Canadian National Anthem
"O Canada",
in which the rearranged, altered title
of the song
was called
"I Canada".

Luckily and fortunately,
making his way
down to the ring
and
putting an end
to the deplorable charade
was none other than
former WWE Superstar
Eugene.

Eugene
made a challenge
to wrestle
Chris Tighe
right then and there.

However
Chris Tighe
replied to him
by saying
that he was not ready to wrestle
due to him
not being dressed to wrestle.

Well in his retort,
Eugene
would allow Chris Tighe
to put on his wrestling tights
and chose to wrestle him
in the Main Event match
later in the evening.

Eugene
wanted to write the wrong
of the previous transgressions
of Chris Tighe,
and
with the overwhelming approval
of the Southern Wrestling Alliance crowd
wanted Bravon Childs
to finish the rest
of her performance
of
"The Star-Spangled Banner"......

......unto that which she did,

and she did quite well.

Now onto the results
of the matches
from the night that was......

MATCH #1:

"The Sin City Saint"
SCOTTY RAYZ

defeated
LUCHA LOCURA

via
1-2-3 pinfall
with a top rope
diving somersault press.

In an Arm-Wrestling Contest,
the on-air radio personality
from Pensacola, FL sports radio station
WTKE-FM  98.1 The Ticket
ROB BROWN

defeated
one of my very close, personal
and dearest of friends,
longtime ringside wrestling fan
and one of the contributing analysts
of the independent professional wrestling website
Front Row Fanatics
THE GARGOYLE

In a stipulation
to the Arm Wrestling Contest,
the loser
had to be on the receiving end
of 5 VERY HARDBRUTAL knifeedge chops
to the chest area
by any wrestler
of the winner's own choosing.

Rob Brown
had made a decision
of the chosen wrestler
who was going to unload
those 5 hard chops
upon the chest
of the masked Gargoyle......

......and that wrestler
was none other than
the retired, former independent professional wrestler
"B.T.Y.
(Better Than You)"
Colby Godwin.

Here is Knifeedge Chop #1......

......and chop #2,
which was even louder and harder
than the 1st one.

......as well as
chop #3,
even much louder
and even much harder
than chop #2.

The Gargoyle
did everything he could
to beg, plead
and welch his way out
from his stipulated obligations
from "B.T.Y."
Colby Godwin,

however all of welching and finagling
by The Gargoyle
came to an sudden, crashing halt
thanks to this unexpected bulldog
from behind
by Rob Brown.

The Gargoyle
took
chop #4......

....and his final, brutal chop,
chop #5
by
"B.T.Y."
Colby Godwin.

MATCH #2:

In an impromptu
3 team,
9 Person Tag Team Intergender Match,
the team of
"The Asphalt Cowboys"
consisting of
JUSTIN OVERSTREET

and
ZANE
"Epic"
STEVENS

with
MACKENZIE YORK

defeated the team
of
"Filthy Gorgeous"
DOUG PITT
(left)
and
REX ANDREWS
(right)
along with
BECKI KENNEDI
(middle)

and the team of
"The Arrogant Americans"
consisting of
"The Prodigy"
A.JSTROKES
and
"MrHandle That"
MIKE FACEN

and their unwanted tag team partner,
the very popular
"Intergender Icon"
DAN DELICIOUS

Doug Pitt
laid out
Mackenzie York
with a sitout powerbomb

As the opportunistic
A.J. Strokes
attempted to pin
Mackenzie York,

he was pulled off
by
Dan Delicious

who believed it was wrong
of A.J. Strokes
to pin
Mackenzie York
in such a very unfair
and unorthodox manner.

So therefore,
Dan Delicious took matters
into his own hands
as he laid
A.J. Strokes
out cold
with a superkick

then he dragged
Mackenzie York
over the unconscious body
of A.J. Strokes
for her to score
the winning 1-2-3 pinfall
for her team.

MATCH #3:

In a Triple Threat Match,
"The King Of Florida"
FRANCISCO CIATSO

defeated
PAUL JORDANE

and
NELSONIZER

via 1-2-3 pinfall
after when Paul Jordane
had finished off
Nelsonizer
with his inverted spinebuster.

After the match,
Nelsonizer
applied a full nelson
onto
Paul Jordane.

MATCH #4:

"The Master Of Devastation"
CAMERON FROST

defeated
"The Real Deal"
MIKE CRUZ

via 1-2-3 pinfall
with his
"Omega Crusher".

MATCH #5:

In the Semi Main Event Tag Team Match,
THE CALI KID

and
WWE Hall Of Famer
"The Bullet"
BOB ARMSTRONG

defeated
the team of
"Scarface"
WAYLON BARLEY

and
former WWF(E) Superstar
and former WWE Head Trainer
DR. TOM PRICHARD

with
DANDY JACK
at ringside

as The Cali Kid
ducked out of the way
with Dandy Jack
accidentally clobbering
and KOing
Waylon Barley
with his wooden cane

plus not to mention
The Cali Kid
clobbering and KOing
Dandy Jack
off from the ring apron

while
"The Bullet"
Bob Armstrong
kept Dr. Tom Prichard
at bay
as well as into dreamland
with his sleeper hold

with
The Cali Kid
covering and hooking the leg
of the unconscious
"Scarface"
Waylon Barley
to score the winning 1-2-3 pinfall
for his team.

MATCH #6:

In the Main Event Match,
former WWE Superstar
EUGENE

defeated
"The Definition Of Technician"
CHRIS TIGHE

with
"Big Dawg"
RYAN MILLS
at ringside

as Eugene
buried
Chris Tighe
down to the canvas
with a uranage slam,

then
Bravon Childs
finishing off
Chris Tighe
with her version
of
"The People's Elbow"

with Mr. Fantasy;
who was previously clobbered
from behind
by
"Big Dawg"
Ryan Mills
with the Canadian Maple Leaf flag,
stepping into the ring
as the referee;
due to original referee
Danny Wright
being knocked out
during the match
due to a ref bump
as both his daughter
Bravon Childs
and
Eugene
covered and pinned
Chris Tighe
to score the wining 1-2-3 pinfall.

I would like to say
a very sincere heartfelt
THANK YOU
to the one and only
Mr. Fantasy
for granting me the blessed opportunity
to shoot my photos
at ringside once again
at his annual Southern Wrestling Alliance show
as he had done so for me
in his previous shows
that I had attended
back in 2007,
2009
and last year
in 2012.

It was quite a surprise for me
to see Mr. Fantasy
in the capacity
as a ring announcer;
but then again
after seeing him in action
inside the ring
at several independent wrestling shows
as one of the most over heel wrestlers
in the Gulf Coast/Southeast independent wresting circuit
since 2006,
plus not to mention
working a couple of shows
with him
off and on since 2007,
knowing him
for as long as I have
one thing that I can say
that Mr. Fantasy truly has
is an extraordinary talented
"gift of gab".
Therefore,
big time ups, props
and kudos
to him
as both a ring announcer
as well as promoting
another outstanding
annual Southern Wrestling Alliance show!!!

The annual Southern Wrestling Alliance show
marked the end
of the wrestling career
of  Becki Kennedi.

After returning back to her home
from the show,
she had posted these comments
on her own Facebook:

"I've had an amazing time at SWA ! It's a bitter sweet ending to my wrestling career, but my health is more important ! Thanks to everyone who's stood by my side and helped me to get where I am today ! You guys are awesome ! And to my fans, you all ROCK !"

Whether she was a wrestling manager
or a wrestler,
whether she was a heel
or a babyface
in her wrestling career
throughout the Gulf Coast
and Southeast area,
Becki Kennedi
was majorly over
with the wrestling fans
and unequivocally,
most especially
when it pertained
to the male wrestling audience
for sure!!!

I have been very blessed and fortunate
to have worked several wrestling shows
along the Gulf Coast area
with Becki Kennedi
as well as seeing her perform
either as a wrestler
or a wrestling manager
at several wrestling shows
along the Gulf Coast area
off and on
throughout the past 5 years or so.

She's a great person,
an extremely beautiful nice lady
without question
and a wonderful friend.
A wrestling career
that shined at its very brightest
which unfortunately reaching its apex
prior to it reaching its full potential.
A wrestling career
sadly coming to an end
due to injuries
that she had sustained
in the last couple of years.
Nonetheless,
in the few short years
that she had been
in the wrestling business
she certainly made the most
of her opportunities
and truly gave it her all.

She will be truly missed
by myself,
her fellow workers & colleagues
as well as the countless hundreds
of wrestling fans
who both admired & adored her.
I want to sincerely wish
Becki Kennedi
nothing but the very best
in every and all
of her future endeavors
outside the squared circle!

Mackenzie York
was sporting a BRAND NEW wrestling outfit
at the annual Southern Wrestling show
in Crestview, FL.

I did not even realize it
until the day
after the show
when it was brought
to my immediate attention
by a friend of mine
on my Facebook,
plus I could not help but notice
that the design
of Mackenzie York's
new wrestling outfit
is relatively similar and reminiscent
to that of the former,
original drummer
from the famed, heralded,
legendary music group
KISS
Peter Criss
and his "Catman" outfit
that he had worn
during the Destroyer/Rock And Roll Over Tour
back in the bicentennial year
of 1976
as well as in the band's
"Psycho Circus"
and supposed
"Farewell Tour"
in the late 1990s
and early millennium.

I don't know about the rest of you
out there,
but there are most certainly indeed
striking similarities
in the overall design
between the two outfits,
which BTW is all good with me!!!

I absoluetly admire
Mackenzie York,
her amazing, stunning beauty,
her wrestling skills
& abilities.
Also,
anybody who has ever known me
through the years
knows my immense love & adoration
for the one and only
KISS!!!

On a personal, final note,
the annual Southern Wrestling Alliance show......
as it has ALWAYS been
each and every single year
that it has taken place
was a thoroughly spectacular,
action packed,
highly entertaining,
superbly, quality professional wrestling show
from start to finish
and from top to bottom!

Despite a VERY SLIGHT, small dropoff
in attendance
from their previous annual shows
(where annual shows have averaged
between 400-450 people),
the annual Southern Wrestling Alliance show
had once again
delivered the goods
and the show
certainly did NOT disappoint!

My sincere congratulations
and tremendous props
go out to Mr. Fantasy,
all of the male & female wrestlers
and the entire Southern Wrestling Alliance staff
for putting on one phenomenal,
annual wrestling show.

I can hardly wait
until his show
next year!!!
