EPW results from 10-27 in Booneville, MS

"Grandmaster Sexay" Brian Christopher defeated The Bouncer. More like demolished... no. more like beat the crap out of The Bouncer.

A fan in the crowd was heckling Grandmaster Sexay, and he said he wanted a match... so, Brian asked EPW Promoter Edith Poole to let the fan sign a waiver and get in the ring. Edith reluctantly allowed the fan, who identified himself as Bam Bam Bundy, to sign the waiver. So, in match #2, if you can call it a match, Brian Christopher destroyed Bam Bam Bundy, who left the ring and the arena still running his mouth.

Cassanova Kid vs. DC ended in a time limit draw.

In a wheelchair boxing match Hollywood Jimmy Blaylock w/DC & Justin Rhodes defeated Bonecrusher w/Cassanova Kid. Hollywood did everything he could to cheat his way to victory. In the end Justin Rhodes interference enabled Hollywood to cheat his way to victory. After the match Hollywood's lawyer, Tom Bigbee, along with DC & Justin, stole the Tag Team belts. Edith ordered them to return the belts, and when they did not, she fined them $1000 each.

24/7 (Kross & JR Mauler) and Raja defeated The Voodoo Village (JuJu Bokor, JJ Voo, & Smoodoo w/Alexis).

EPW will return to action this FRIDAY night (there will be no show at EPW Saturday night) I said this FRIDAY night at the EPW Arena on Highway 145 in Booneville, MS.  Card will include Bonecrusher & Cassanova Kid vs. HGH (DC & Justin Rhodes). If Bonecrusjher and Cassanova win, they retain the tag team belts. If HGH wins, they are the Tag Team Champions and don't have to pay their fines for stealing the belts.

Don't miss the show this FRIDAY night at EPW! Remember, you NEVER know who will show up or what will happen at EPW!

WWE announces Lawler's return date

Gail Kim talks about her start in wrestling

Sue White of Mlive.com is featuring an interview with TNA Knockout Gail Kim where she talks about getting her start in pro wrestling back in 2000.

"After college, "I decided I really wanted to go into something athletic. But I was 23, starting later in life, so wrestling was one of the few things available." She remembers her mother seeing an opponent slap her across the face, "and she doesn't watch as much anymore," Kim said. "After my first injury, she and my dad said, 'OK, you can quit now.' But by then, I'd been working very hard to get where I was, and I had a passion for it." If you don't have that, she was quick to add, "you're not going to last very long."

Lilian Garcia update

Posted on WWE.com:

Lilian Garcia has been released from a Los Angeles hospital today, her husband, Chris, told WWE.com. "Lilian has been released from the LA hospital, but is still under medical watch due to her body injuries," he said. "The love, support and prayers from our immediate family, our friends and the WWE family and Universe is extremely heartfelt and strengthening during this unfortunate time."

Hogan reaches settlement with Bubba the Love Sponge

Eric Deggans of The Tampa Bay Times is featuring an article noting that Hulk Hogan has reached a settlement in his lawsuit against former friend Bubba the Love Sponge over the release of a sex tape featuring Hogan and Bubba's ex-wife Heather Clem.

As part of the settlement, Bubba issued the following statement.

"After further investigation, I am now convinced that Hulk Hogan was unaware of the presence of the recording device in my bedroom. I am convinced he had no knowledge that he was being taped. Additionally, I am certain that he had no role in the release of the video. It is my belief that Terry is not involved, and has not ever been involved, in trying to release the video, or exploit it, or otherwise gain from the video's release in any way. Regrettably, when Hulk filed the lawsuit against me, I instinctively went on the offensive. The things that I said about him and his children were not true. I was wrong and I am deeply sorry for my reaction, and for the additional pain that it caused Hulk and his children on top of the pain that they already were feeling from having learned that Terry was taped without his knowledge, and the public release of the video. I am committed to helping Hulk and his attorneys find whoever is responsible for the release of the tape and holding them accountable to the fullest extent of the law."

BREAKING NEWS Jake "The Snake" Roberts Disappoint Fans At CWF!!

Wrestler Jake “The Snake” Roberts disappointed the wrestling fans at  Costal Wrestling Federation in La Marque, Texas this past Saturday night. Jake became upset because he thought the announcers talked about his opponent (Johnny Blade) more than they did him at the show. Jake said “The fans are here to see me, not him”. Jake and Johnny were supposed to build up the main event during the middle of the show. Johnny Blade came out during the middle of the show and talked about how he can beat Jake the Snake’s old ass. Jake then entered the ring and told the ref to get in the ring  (the referee didn’t know what was about to happen )  Jake hit his opponent Johnny in the head, then fell on top of him and told the referee to take it home. Witnesses said that Jake was in the ring just a little over a minute. After he stepped out of the ring he walked directly to his car and said he was going home.

The crowd of about 300 was disappointed to say the least. Witnesses also said that you could tell Jake was drinking and was so out of breath he could hardly walk to his car after being in the ring that small length of time. The promoter Derek King said “I’m not happy with what happen at Costal Wrestling Federation this past Saturday night and would like to apologize to the fans for how Jake Roberts acted.” Derek promises bigger and better shows in the future.

Breaking News - NWA loses two top stars - NWA belt is now vacant

The net is abuzz with reports of two more departures from the National Wrestling Alliance, but this time it is not organizations leaving, it's two of NWA's top wrestlers. According to reports on the Internet, Colt Cabana and Adam Pearce have both announced they are finished with the NWA. This comes immediately after the conclusion of their "Seven levels of hate" series of matches, which ended with a cage match in Australia. Both men reportedly shot on the NWA in the ring after the match.

Something major went down between these two guys and the new NWA management. What it was I do not know, but I do hope the truth comes out eventually. A video of the two allegedly shooting on NWA was posted on Youtube, but it has since been deleted. However, a video can still be seen at this LINK

WNC will have more on this story as it becomes available.

UPDATE 10-28-2012

The new NWA regime is at it again, they refused to allow the NWA World Heavyweight title to be defended in a cage match in Australia. Colt Cabana beat Adam Pearce in that cage match, Colt would be NWA World champ right now, Pearce stated he would retire if he lost the series to Cabana, thus the NWA World title is vacant. Why did the NWA refuse to sanction it? There is a belief that the board did not want Cabana as champion because he is a David Marquez guy and wanted to defend the belt at the former NWA Championship Wrestling from Hollywood. Bruce Tharpe a few months ago forced Marquez out of the NWA.

UPDATE 10-29-2012
NWA Press Release

The NWA™ World Heavyweight Title has been vacated. The Board of Governors wish former champion Adam Pearce the best in his future endeavors. There will be a new NWA™World Heavyweight Champion crowned on Friday, November 2nd in Clayton, New Jersey.

National Wrestling Alliance™

WWE Hell in a Cell Results

WWE Champion CM Punk def. Ryback (Hell in a Cell Match)

Some WWE fans thought it would take an act of God for WWE Champion CM Punk to walk out of his Hell in a Cell Match against Ryback with the title still in his possession. In truth, all it took was an act of deception from the WWE Champion and a WWE official that won’t soon be forgiven.

Successfully executing a plan that could only have sprang from the twisted mind of Paul Heyman, CM Punk became the first Superstar to defeat the human wrecking ball after WWE official Brad Maddox revealed himself to be working in collusion with The Straight Edge Champion. The same referee who garnered Punk’s wrath after some questionable officiating on the Sept. 17 edition of Raw, Maddox changed the course of WWE history by low-blowing Ryback as he was about to finish Punk with Shell Shocked and then counting the pin in less than three seconds while helping the WWE Champion hold down Ryback’s massive legs.

Punk and the underhanded official may have pulled of a devious plan, but both men ended up in pieces after a very angry Ryback tore apart the ref and Shell Shocked the cowardly champion on the roof of Hell in a Cell.

It happened like this — just as Ryback prepared to finish the WWE Champion off with Shell Shocked, referee Brad Maddox stood in the machine’s path. It only took a moment, but with the mighty Superstar halted, Maddox dropped to his knees and delivered a vicious low blow to the big man. When Ryback fell over, Punk rolled him up and the crooked official threw himself on top of the cover while performing the fastest three-count the WWE Universe had ever witnessed.

There was no celebration on the WWE Champion’s behalf — just a hopeless struggle to get out of Hell in a Cell before Ryback came to. Punk wouldn’t be so lucky this time. After dispatching of Maddox by throwing him out of the ring and directly into the unforgiving steel of the Cell, Ryback chased his rival to the very top of the towering structure. With nowhere left to run, Punk was snatched by the wrecking ball who Shell Shocked his prey in front of a wild WWE crowd in Atlanta’s Philips Arena. Ryback lost the bout, but as he put a foot onto the chest of his fallen opponent, he looked every bit the victor.

Big Show def. World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus

In the height of the incredible back-and-forth battle, Big Show suddenly caught Sheamus’ Brogue Kick attempt and proceeded to bring the WWE Universe to the edge of their seat. Cocking his explosive fist into the air, Big Show smashed the World Heavyweight Champion with the full force of the KO Punch. Though that certainly should have quelled the final stand for the titleholder, Sheamus once again showed the heart of a true champion by kicking out of the finisher in a moment that defied disbelief itself!

As monumental as Sheamus’ resilience was, however, it was not a feat that was destined to be repeated. While Sheamus indeed recovered and shocked all yet again by hitting the Brogue Kick on Big Show, the giant also kicked out! And when Sheamus went for a second Brogue Kick, Big Show hit a second earth-shattering KO Punch, finally finishing off Sheamus, capturing the World Heavyweight Title and forever erasing the disgrace of losing his last World Championship in 45 seconds last at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs last December!

Divas Champion Eve def. Layla and Kaitlyn (Divas Championship Triple Threat Match)

Team Rhodes Scholars def. Team Hell No by Disqualification

Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara def. The Prime Time Players

Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston def. The Miz

United States Champion Antonio Cesaro def. Justin Gabriel

Randy Orton def. Alberto Del Rio

Alternative Pro Wrestling Results from 10/27 in Royston, GA

JC Walker defeated "The International Superstar" known as Marko by pinfall in 7:23.

The APW Southern States champion "The Lethal Dose" Stryknyn said he had been the one to survive the Loser Leaves APW match at Nightmare on Cherry Street vs. Anthony Henry, and that apparently Royston wasn't big enough for the both of them, and he had been the last one standing. As far as what was next for him, he didn't care. Whoever wanted some, they knew where to find him. Stryknyn was interrupted by a man that hadn't been seen in APW in awhile, none other than Tommy Daniels. Daniels said he started out in APW as a nobody, and when he left, he was a two-time APW Tag Team Champion with James Boulevard in a team known as Sudden Impact. Daniels said he didn't care about Stryknyn. The Lethal Dose told Daniels that if wanted a piece of him, that was fine by him, and just to sweeten it, he would put the Southern States Title on the line.

Ballenger defeated Wade Adams by pinfall in 6:20.
(Adams suffered a brutal cut to his head during the end of this match when he attempted a splash in the corner and caught his head on the ring post, dawning a crimson mask.)
