Chaos backstage @ RAW

In case you missed it, WWE did the entire three-hour RAW last night with no pyro because of the fire that happened earlier in the evening before fans started filing in. Local fire officials also would not allow Alberto Del Rio to drive his car into the arena because of safety concerns.

The arena fire was picked up by all local media last night in Cincinnati. Between the arena fire and AW's bad comment about the Kobe Bryant rape case, WWE got a lot of unintentional media coverage with RAW this week.

The mood backstage at last night's RAW from Cincinnati was described as "extremely chaotic." Some felt that it was a sign of things to come for the rest of WWE's three-hour RAW's.

JASON BANE vs. "Big Bear" BENJAMIN BOONE w/"Amazing" N8 MATTSON
Three weeks away from Bane's epic confrontation with "The Man Beast" Rhino at Wrestlelution 5, he has signed to meet one of the biggest and most intimidating foes on the PRIME roster and a man with an impressive mean streak & win streak in his own right - Benjamin Boone. While Boone may not be quite as big as Rhino, it will be a perfect way for Bane to test his merit in preparation for August 19. However, the Sons of Michigan are determined to make sure this is more than just a tune-up for Bane. They are out to make their own mark and set their own path for Wrestlelution. With N8 recently adding Zach Gowen to the fold, rumors state that N8 may not even be done yet! Will we learn more this week?

GORY vs. "Hot Commodity" MATT MASON
Krimson has crossed a line recently, by making Mason's family a target of his diabolical mind games and intimidation, an act that has enraged Matt to no end. Three weeks away from meeting Krimson in a No Disqualification environment at Wrestlelution 5, he'll take on fellow Dead Wrestling Society member Gory. Gory has made headlines of his own, challenging TV Champion Facade to a Casket Match at Wrestlelution 5, but he may have an early brush with death of Mason's recent mindset is any indication. Matt will have wife Jayme in attendance once again to watch over her. But will the DWS try to take their mind games to the next level?

"True Talent" Bobby "The Body" Shields vs. "BatDan" Dan Arkham w/Bryan Castle
A week ago, we learned that Sex Appeal would die on Wrestlelution 5 August 19, when Bobby Shields would battle Bobby Beverly in a match that is, quite simply, ultimate humiliation for the Sex Appeal members - Hair vs. Hair. Not only would the Bobbys do battle, but Nicki Valentino would be caught in the middle as Special Referee. Can Shields score some momentum leading into the battle? Will he claim another haircut victim? Will we learn more about Valentino's position in this split?

PLUS: The latest installments in our sit-down interviews with "Man Beast" Rhino and Jason Bane!

More emotional comments from "One Legged Wonder" Zach Gowen and "Handicapped Hero" Gregory Iron, three weeks before their one-on-one match with one another!

Bobby Shields speaks about his upcoming Hair vs. Hair battle!

Matt Cross reacts to the news he will meet Petey Williams one-on-one at Wrestlelution 5!

We'll announce the final two Wrestlelution 5 matches in the Wrestlelution 5 Control Center!

Following his very public firing at June's No Way Out, Laurinaitis continued to work behind-the-scenes in his corporate role. After eight years of service in talent relations, he's "burned out" and now hopes to concentrate on what he knows best: putting together matches and working with WWE talent as a producer.

Comments About The Kids Wrestling In Tennessee Video

Here's comments that I received from all over the Mid-South concerning the Kids Wrestling In Tennessee.

Tennessee needs an Athletic Commission like Mississippi then this wouldn’t happen.  Bobby Richardson, Fulton Ms.

Who in their right mind would pay to watch little kids wrestle?  James

That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen and people wonder why wrestling is dying in the Tennessee state.  Anonymous

WHO WOULD PAY TO WATCH THAT IS WHAT I WANT TO KNOW?   Anonymous

Kids shouldn’t be in a wrestling ring they could be seriously hurt and then the promoter who let them in the ring will be sued.     Paula  R.  Dyersburg

I’ve seen a lot of stupid things in my life and that video is one of them.   Worker

The fans should have walked out.   Jason T.

That’s the fault of the parent for letting their kids play wrestlers and if one of them do get hurt then the owner of that promotion will be responsible.   Sheila Powell

Only in Tennessee    Phillip Allred  Horn Lake Ms.

I’m a worker and I would never train kids and sure wouldn’t let them throw me around the ring and expect the crowd to believe it.   Craig,  New Orleans

Thanks for sending your comments on this video.   The video is still up if you would like to view it,  here's the link.

Dr. Tom Prichard Training Camp August 10 -12, 2012

Dr. Tom Prichard Training Camp August 10 -12, 2012
Don't Miss Your Opportunity To train and have your matches evaluated by the former WWE head coach and Developmental Talent Manager

Bio on Dr. Tom Prichard

A smart, tactical competitor who wasn't afraid to mix it up, Tom Prichard has long been admired for both his abilities in the ring and his skills as a trainer to the Superstars of tomorrow.
Kicking off his career in Los Angeles in 1979, Prichard got his first taste of success while competing in various Southern promotions in the late 1980s. A major star and champion in places like the Continental Wrestling Federation and United States Wrestling Association, the Texan is best remembered for his stint as a member of The Heavenly Bodies in Smoky Mountain Wrestling alongside tag team specialist Stan Lane.

A cunning duo managed by the obnoxious Jim Cornette, Prichard & Lane captured the SMW Tag Team Championships five times in a little more than a year's time. When Lane left the group in 1993, he was replaced by "Gigolo" Jimmy Del Ray and the team’s success continued. Alongside Del Ray, Prichard won three more SMW Tag Team Titles and even competed for the WWE Tag Team Champions against The Steiner Brothers at SummerSlam in 1993.

When Smoky Mountain Wrestling closed in 1995, Prichard joined WWE as a member of The Bodydonnas. Identifying himself as fitness fanatic Skip's cousin Zip, the competitor experienced more tag team success when the duo won the vacant WWE Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania XII.

Following the dissolution of The Bodydonnas, Prichard spent some time in the rough world of Extreme Championship Wrestling before pursuing a career as a trainer. Working in WWE's developmental system, the experienced grappler has played a key role in the grooming of future legends like The Rock, Edge and countless others.

New Magnificent Ladies Wrestling champion crowned - amid much controversy

Nikki Lane is currently recognized as the new reigning Magnificent Ladies Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion after defeating the previous champion, Barbi Hayden, in an unscheduled match at the July taping. However, pending a vote by the Magnificent Ladies Board of Directors, the title change may be overturned. Hayden claims that she was not properly informed that her title was on the line.

“This is highway robbery!” Hayden shouted after the match. She quickly grabbed her cellphone and called Carson Houston, who contacted their attorneys. The attorneys filed a preliminary injunction, preventing Magnificent Ladies from releasing any video footage or photos of Match 825.
“She's just embarrassed that I beat her,” Lane said. “I'm going to bring pride and prestige back to this title. Barbi was taking it for granted. I'll be a real champion and defend this belt against all challengers.”

Magnificent Ladies Commissioner Veronica Fairchild said she approved the title match despite Hayden's claims to the contrary.

“I am the Commissioner,” Fairchild said. “The Board of Directors put me in charge of making title matches. And I made one where Barbi lost the championship fair and square to Nikki. If Barbi doesn't like it, that's tough. After I meet with the Board of Directors and review the video, we'll make this official and release video for all of the fans.”

Also at issue is that Melanie Cruise was supposed to be in line for a championship rematch against Hayden. Fairchild added that Cruise will now get a title shot against Lane. Cruise said she does not care if she has to wrestle Hayden or Lane as long as she gets her title shot.

“I can beat either one of those silly broads,” Cruise said confidently. “Hell, I can beat both of them at the same time.”

Several members of the Board of Directors are currently on vacation. The need to call a special meeting may postpone a resolution to this matter for a month.

George "The Animal" Steele interview highlights

George The Animal Steele joined Inside The Ropes radio this past Thursday. Here are the highlights:

On his character becoming nonsensical in his promos: I did my own interviews and I was very articulate in the WWF when I got there but once they called me The Animal, and I was doing an interview with Vince and he said I was making too much sense for an animal so i turned into the ooh ooh aah guy and became the comedy character and it was a great run.

On working WrestleMania 2 with Savage: I had a great time. It was not as stressful as when I wrestled Bruno because Bruno and I were hardcore. I was a cartoon character with Randy so it was easier. Randy was in all honesty, a very jealous guy about Elizabeth and what you saw was sort of real. So then the further I went on TV to make him jealous and the further I got, the angrier he was.

Memories of WM3: It was about 12 miles from home. The Savage/Steamboat thing was Not my kinda match. i heard them talk that match for three weeks, i was sick of hearing about it. They called the spots, it was a great match but there was no psychology. Andre was a very good friend, Vince and Hogan did not know what Andre would do when he got to the ring if he'd lay down. He sort of kayfabed them. I'm sitting watching, laughing my tail off because I knew what Andre would do. When Hogan slammed Andre, that made him.

Why he left WWF in 89: I was deathly ill with Crohns disease. I was in hospital for a month, and I knew it was all over, I couldn't keep wrestling. I didn't know I'd have to retire, but once I got to hospital, I knew it was over. On being put into the WWF Hall of Fame in 1995 and founding the PWHOF: It was fine. they brought my family in. After my induction they didn't do any inductions for years. I got to talking to this guy Tony Mollano who's responsible for the boxing hall of fame and I told him there wasn't a physical building, and so we set up the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in Amsterdam, New York. It's a good thing. We're not in competition with Vince. But we have a building people can come along and take a look at history.

Thoughts on Montreal Screwjob: To me that's one of the biggest jokes in wrestling of all time. Lets be honest, who did Bret Hart beat to win the belt? They give him the belt and then he can't drop the belt in his own country? Give me a frickin break. By Vince doing the double cross Vince became the hottest thing in the business when all he did was take his belt back. He outdid everyone who walked away like Hulk and Bret.

Quick Fire Thoughts:

Hulk Hogan: Right place, right time.

Bret Hart: Lucky

John Cena: Johnny come lately

Ric Flair: Needed the belt

Undertaker: One of a kind The Rock: Great.

Ultimate Warrior: *laughs* thats all I have to say.

The reason WWE released Kharma

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, recently released WWE Diva Kharma (Kia Stevens) was getting in shape in preparation for a return to the ring, but there was a knock on her for being difficult to work with and stubborn in terms of ideas pitched about her character which led to her release.

"Maple Leaf Muscle" PETEY WILLIAMS vs. "M-Dogg 20" MATT CROSS
Former X-Division Champion Petey Williams makes his PRIME Wrestling debut to battle former 2-time PRIME Champion Matt Cross. Petey is known the world over, not just for his amazing physique and stunning athleticism, but also as the master of arguably the most devastating maneuver in professional wrestling history - the flip piledriver known as "The Canadian Destroyer". Petey will need it if he hopes to defeat Matt Cross, who feels Petey is trying to use Matt as a steppingstone a career resurgence. Matt refuses to be a welcome mat however, and is out to prove that even though he is temporarily without the PRIME Championship, this is not a sign of a slump for the "Innovator of Aerial Insanity". Petey and M-Dogg have never met one-on-one anywhere, but they will August 19 live on iPPV!

CASKET MATCH for TV TITLE: MICHAEL FACADE vs. GORY
PRIME's "Neon Ninja" Facade spent nearly two years chasing the Television Title, including ten months in pursuit of most recent champion Gory who used every shortcut known to man to keep the title hostage & captive as part of the Dead Wrestling Society. Facade finally liberated the championship this past June, but it did little to calm the evil inside of Gory. The former champion announced he was using his rematch clause, but not just anyway or anywhere... Wrestlelution 5 in a Casket Match. A stipulation this eerie & macabre would no-doubt play right into Gory's comfort zone, and give him a chance to literally live up to his promise of sealing the coffin on Facade's TV Title dreams. Can Gory reclaim the gold and live up to his promise or will Facade put the final nail in the coffin of this rivalry?

HAIR vs. HAIR: "True Talent" BOBBY "The Body" SHIELDS vs. BOBBY BEVERLY
Special Guest Referee: "Late Nite" NICKI VALENTINO
The growing tension & dissension in the Sex Appeal ranks finally spiraled out of control due to the selfishness of supposed leader Jimmy Jacobs, the constant undermining & belittling of Bobby Beverly, and the ego of Bobby Shields growing even larger than ever previously thought. While Beverly & Shields seems content to start anew, realizing the anchors they respectively feel were tied to them, Nicki Valentino seems to be caught in the middle. First watching his two best friends come to blows, and now being named by Jimmy Jacobs as the Special Guest Referee for this match! Shields has cut the hair of numerous athletes, taking pride in taking away others' dignity and identity, but is now in the position where his own hair is in danger as well thanks to Beverly challenging Shields to potentially a taste of his own medicine! Sex Appeal have always been about their looks, but one of these men will never look the same when they are shaved bald in front of the world!

NO DQ: "Embodiment of Evil" KRIMSON vs. "Hot Commodity" MATT MASON
Krimson & Mason were long-time friends when Krimson was known as his previous identity, CK3. However, when CK3's personality morphed into the bitter, hateful and evil Krimson, the friendship splintered. Mason came to PRIME in an attempt to help his old friend see the light, but he instead got sucked into Krimson's web of darkness. When Matt refused Krimson's offer to join his Dead Wrestling Society and help him with the PRIME Championship, Krimson became enraged, blaming Mason for all of his problems. Krimson said since Matt deprived him of what meant most to him (the title), Krimson would take away what meant most to Matt. Shortly afterward, reports began to surface of Krimson traveling to Mason's home, defacing his property, and frightening Matt's family. Krimson has crossed a line and Mason is more than willing to fight to protect the family he loves so dearly. He'll do so August 19 and with No Disqualifications to stop him.

"World's Most Huggable Wrestler" BRYAN CASTLE w/"BatDan" Dan Arkham vs. "Natural" BRIAN BENDER
Bender spent many months trying to mentor Castle into improving his health, using the same training regimen that Bender himself used to drop over 100 pounds several years ago. However, when the simple Castle kept sneaking in candy bars, the plan hit a speed bump. Things got worse when, instead of looking up to Bender, Castle began looking up to Dan Arkham. Arkham has had some success in PRIME, but is most known as an avid superhero fan outside the ring. Castle saw Arkham display his knowledge of the genre and mistook it to believe Arkham himself is in fact a superhero. This was the last straw for Bender, who walked away from Castle, considering him a failure. Can the Master of the High Five prove his former trainer wrong or can Bender show that his way was the best way?

All this in addition to what we already announced over the past few weeks...

PRIME Championship: "Zombie Princess" Jimmy Jacobs vs. "Whole Shebang" Johnny Gargano
18 months ago, Jimmy Jacobs entered PRIME Wrestling disguised under a ski mask, injuring Johnny Gargano's back with a video camera. After a year of mind games and psychological warfare, Jacobs finally unmasked at the start of this year and put Gargano through even more hell. It was Jacobs' mission to march into Gargano's own hometown, home promotion, and place Johnny built his reputation and force him out. Jacobs wants to replace Gargano, not just as the top star in PRIME Wrestling, but in all of independent wrestling. According to Jacobs, everything Gargano has done in his career, Jacobs did it first and Jacobs did it better, but never got the credit or adulation Gargano enjoys today. After manipulating Sex Appeal to aid in his mind games, Gargano overcame their threat (watch the clip here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asQ4JGxVBsA) to earn a shot at Jacobs and the PRIME Championship Gargano once held longer than anyone. Can Johnny Gargano reclaim his legacy or can Jacobs erase the name of Johnny Gargano from PRIME Wrestling at the very event Gargano has stolen the show at year after year?

"One Legged Wonder" Zach Gowen vs. Gregory Iron
In 2003, Zach Gowen defied every odd possible when, in spite of losing a leg to cancer at age 8, Zach realized his dream of becoming a wrestling superstar known the world over. One of Zach's many fans was a 16-year old Gregory Iron, himself suffering from cerebral palsy. After watching Zach, Greg started to believe that he too could overcome his limitations and live his dream of becoming a professional wrestler. Greg did just that, starting a whirlwind of attention that includes ESPN, Sports Illustrated, Fox News, and a personal endorsement from CM Punk last year. Greg realized another dream when Zach Gowen came to PRIME Wrestling to team with Greg, in an attempt to win the Tag Team Titles, but after Greg was injured via a powerbomb a month ago, and a miscommunication between Greg & Zach this month (watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e11NEeWRJ9c), the world's most inspirational team imploded. Now, wrestling's most unusual and unexpected match has been signed as the world's only wrestler with cerebral palsy Gregory Iron is forced to fight his own personal hero Zach Gowen. We will get comments from Zach & Greg about this match this upcoming week on PRIME Wrestling TV, on SportsTime Ohio as well as our YouTube page (www.Youtube.com/PRIMEwrestlingTV)

"The Man Beast" RHINO vs. "Most Dominant Man" JASON BANE
After losing out on a PRIME Championship opportunity earlier this year, former champion Jason Bane set out on a mission to re-prove himself. To do so, he challenged ANYONE to face him one-on-one and didn't care whether it was someone within PRIME Wrestling, someone from another wrestling organization, or even someone from the world of mixed-martial arts. We were all surprised to hear that "The Man Beast" Rhino had been the man to answer the call. Rhino is a two-time World Champion elsewhere, and is known as one of the most dangerous and intense competitors in the industry today. Bane, meanwhile has earned his reputation as PRIME's Most Dominant Man, and is 4-0 in Wrestlelution battles, including a victory over Raven two years ago at Wrestlelution 3. It is Baneline vs. Gore in the battle of two of the most ruthless athletes anywhere!

"Megastar" MARION FONTAINE vs. "Omega" AARON DRAVEN
Commissioner Justin LaBar & Upper Management's Aaron Maguire Presiding At Ringside
The feud between Fontaine and LaBar has waged for nearly two years now, and was only intensified with LaBar was named PRIME Commissioner and, essentially, Fontaine's boss. Fontaine and adviser Aaron Maguire hatched an elaborate plot to frame LaBar as "unfair", leading to Upper Management putting LaBar on probation, and naming Maguire to the board to help watch over things. Fontaine had the advantage for a while, but when he "accidentally" struck LaBar with a steel chair, he too was put on probation by Upper Management! Finally, the two agreed it was time to settle this for good - Fontaine will meet LaBar's hand-selected representative and the man who pinned Fontaine in the main event of last year's Wrestlelution - the thrill-seeking high-risk "Omega" Aaron Draven! Furthermore, LaBar & Maguire have both stated they will be ringside to watch over the match. Anytime these two have gotten involved, it has only made things more chaotic and impossible to control! Who will have final bragging rights in the Fontaine vs. LaBar rivalry?

Plus: Special Ring Announcer - Cosmopolitan Bachelor of the Year 2011 and local entertainment reporter Chris Van Vliet & Special Guest Timekeeper - New 102 DJ Kory!

But we are STILL not done! We'll announce the rest of the card next week! In the meantime, click on "Store" to reserve your tickets now or click on "iPPV" to watch live from home! Be part of the enduring spirit of Wrestlelution 5 as Wrestlelution hits its PRIME!
