EPW results from 2/26 in Booneville, MS

A packed EPW Arena Saturday night, over 200 in the building....

Buzz Harley defeated Justin Rhodes.

EPW North Mississippi Champion "Big Daddy" Neno w/Antoin Smooth defeated Chazz Stone to retain.

"The Platinum Prince" Diante Chrome w/Smooth defeated Robert "The Main Factor" Devine.

Main Event: The Fight for undisputed ownership of EPW - 2 ring elimination match - a participant is eliminated by pin fall or by being handcuffed in the second ring - no DQ, no count outs. If Edith's team loses, Bill Dundee's head is to be shaved. If Hollywood's team loses, the entire Hollywood Clique gets their heads shaved and Dundee gets 5 minutes with Hollywood.

Team Hollywood:
Brody Hawk
Cassanova Kid
"Boogie Woogie Boy" Gary Valiant
Mystery partner (who turned out to be big Cody Hawk)

Edith's Team:
Neil "The Real Deal" Taylor
JR Mauler
"Grandmaster Sexay" Brian Christopher
Bill "Superstar" Dundee

Joey Lynn was to be the referee, but he was beaten to a pulp by the members of Edith's team prior to the match starting, and was replaced by EPW senior official KC.

It was a wild brawl, 10 men in two rings beating the stuffing out of each other. One by one the members of each team were eliminated. At the end it did not look good for Edith's team, as Bill Dundee was the only member left, against two of Hollywood's guys, one of which was Gary Valiant. Valiant, however, turned against Hollywood, and enabled Edith's team to eventually win the match. Pandemonium throughout the match - wild, WILD action. Dundee won by pin fall, and Edith was once again owner of EPW. The celebration began, & Chrome got his head shaved, but the other members of the Hollywood Clique went to the back and returned a few minutes later saying that they were now members of Smooth, Inc., and were no longer Clique members. Dundee got his five minutes with Hollywood and beat the crap out of him. The beating ended with Hollywood getting thrown through a wooden door. The celebration continued, and Dundee called Edith into the ring. Edith then said, "Hollywood Jimmy Blaylock, you are FIRED," much to the delight of the crowd.

The next EPW event will be this Saturday night at the EPW Arena on Highway 145 in Booneville, MS. Bell time is 8:00 p.m. With Hollywood gone from EPW, and the members of his Clique abandoning him for Smooth, Inc., it will be interesting to see what happens in EPW now. Will Antoin Smooth and his new goons take up where Hollywood left off? Will 24/7 get a fair shot at the EPW Tag Team belts now? What changes will Edith make now that she is back in charge? We will find out the answers to these and other questions this Saturday night at EPW. Don't miss it! Remember, you never know what will happen at EPW or who will show up!

Rampage Pro Wrestling Joins the National Wrestling Alliance

Press Release:

Warner Robins, GA- Dr. Johnny Gayton announces that Rampage Pro Wrestling (RPW) recently joined the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) as an Associate Member. All RPW events and television shows will be sanctioned by the NWA. Dr. Gayton said “I am pleased to have Rampage Pro Wrestling as part of the NWA, a legendary organization that has a storied history in Middle Georgia. I am convinced that this partnership will be good for the fans and wrestlers of RPW and facilitate the resurgence of the NWA in Middle Georgia."

Legendary wrestling announcer and Hall of Fame member, Gordon Solie, regularly reminded viewers that Georgia Championship Wrestling on WTCG/WTBS was "sanctioned by the National Wrestling Alliance, the oldest and largest sanctioning body in professional wrestling.” The NWA formed in 1948 and is celebrating its 63rd year with members throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada, Australia, and Japan. For several years Total Non-Stop Wrestling (TNA) was sanctioned by the NWA. Many wrestling fans will recall NWA events at the Macon City Auditorium and the Macon Coliseum where the NWA Macon Heavyweight and NWA Macon Tag Team titles were defended as well as other major NWA titles. Cyclone & Roberto Soto won the NWA Macon Tag Team Titles in 1969 and Buddy Colt became the 1st NWA Macon Heavyweight Champion in 1970. Other wrestling stars who defended NWA titles in middle Georgia included
Mr. Wrestling 1 & 2, Ole & Gene Anderson, "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin, Rocky Johnson (the father of WWE superstar the Rock), Jerry Lawler, Abdullah the Butcher, the Road Warriors, El Mongol, and many more. The NWA World Championship has been held by many superstars including Dusty Rhodes, Ric Flair, Jack Brisco, Dory Funk, Jr., Harley Race, Lou Thesz, Tommy Rich, AJ Styles, Jeff Jarrett, Raven and current 3 time champion, Adam Pearce.

Bill Behrens, a current NWA Director and a past NWA President, is currently one of the hosts of RPW's highly rated weekly television show. He shares those duties with well known Georgia wrestling personality, Ben Masters. Behrens feels very strongly that “RPW is a great addition to the NWA family. It’s a strong, well run promotion, very fan friendly with a great crew of wrestlers." The RPW roster includes former NWA World Junior Champion & TNA star - Jimmy Rave, former WWE & Japan star - Bull Buchanan, RPW Heavyweight Champion - J Rod, RPW Tag Team Champions - The Usual Suspects, RPW TV Champion - Jeremy Vain, Kyle Matthews, Mike Posey, Corey Hollis, Cru Jones, Shawn Banks, Doc Gayton and many more. Current NWA World Tag Team Champions, The Dark City Fight Club, have already defended their titles twice in RPW, and they will return soon. RPW also plans to bring in the NWA World Heavyweight
Champion. “Wrestling fans have many reasons to be excited with RPW bringing the NWA back to Middle Georgia”, added Behrens.

Rampage Pro Wrestling promotes and produces its weekly TV from Johnny G’s in Warner Robins, GA on the 1st, 3rd & 5th Saturdays of each month with a 7PM belltime. The RPW one hour TV shows airs in Middle Georgia on Fox 24 each Saturday morning at 9 and on Cox Communications channel 11 on Thursdays at 8PM on Saturdays at noon. It is also seen on My41.2 each week. The half hour Rewind program can be seen on Cox Communications 11 M, W, & F 5PM Fri & Sat 11:30PM & on My41 Sat noon. Matt Hardy speaks out on being in TNA and Cold Blood character

Matt Hardy was on Busted Open last week and he had some good stuff on his time in TNA, Cold Blood character, conditioning, Cena, and the reports about his supposed heat backstage. Here are some excerpts, you can check out the full interview at

On being in TNA: "It's been great. For me it's really revitalized my love and passion of the business. I didn't realize like the last six or eight months I was with WWE that actually that uncomfortable, miserable and unhappy I was going into work. That's not a shot against WWE. I mean WWE is a phenomenal, great, company. They [WWE] did so many great things for me. They made me a star. I wouldn't be sitting here with you right now if it weren't for them. I'm grateful to everyone there who's you know done so many good things for me and allowed me to have the great living that I have. It just came to a point where there were several different circumstances that kind of came into play. It was just time for me to move on and do something different."

On Cold Blood and his conditioning: "No this all mine [Creation of Cold Blood Character]. It's very similar to the 'Mattitude' version, one thing that was all mine too. Both of those drew from real life. You know 'Cold Blood' actually comes from just my theories like…about a year and a half ago whenever I had my abdominal injuries I just remember getting into my surgery and the surgeon actually told me 'Well I know you love wrestling and you've pretty much done it for your entire adult life, but you might not be able to wrestle after this.' That was a pretty hard pill to swallow. I was going 'Wow. I didn't know it was this bad.' Even after I had that surgery I found out I had intestinal issues where almost like you have a water hose and you can't get water through the hose. I have two spots, almost three, two and half I guess in my intestines. I had to change my diet. I had to completely re-invent it actually steak is something I can't eat at all. I never eat steak and I hate that because I eat steak all the time. Red meat is out. Between that and I felt like you know a lot of my fans that had always supported me, which were the hardcore fans, earn it fans. They definitely didn't mind making fun of me because of injuries or because my pants looked different, which wasn't terribly drastic. Which is funny because compared to a normal person it's not really anything in the scheme of things. Actually when I started with TNA I knew I would never have three or four months off again, so I tried to do all good to gain size and than I was just going to die down. I will continue to get in better shape because now I know what I can put into my body and what I can't. That was kind of scary. That was a whole new thing in life to kind of figure out, so there's like little things I can't eat and some things I can, but between that and when Jeff showed up on that January 4th show, when they did the Monday impact you know I got a call from Johnny Ace 'Matt. What's going on?' I don't know Johnny. He said 'Is Joe showing up there? How could you let him do this?' I mean I'm not him like you know I kept getting phone calls saying 'Is he there? What's he doing?' Ever since that day on Jeff didn't have intentions of signing with TNA. You know I think Jeff was rubbed wrong by how they…you know they had Dr.Sampon [WWE] go out and mention his legal situation. I think from that point on he was rubbed the wrong way by WWE and he got an awesome deal to go there and he's real happy to go there because the schedule is so much more laid back. Also the environment is laid back, but between Jeff going and just like you know I was working so much. I just couldn't get time off. I couldn't get my body right. I couldn't get my mind right. I ended up just being unhappy. I needed a change and TNA became that change for me. That's where 'Cold Blooded' came from because I'm always the guy you know like people always say 'Do you see the glass half full or half empty?' I always go 'Well it's half full.' Actually I always say 'It's like two-thirds full.' You know more than half-full because I've had a great life. I have nothing to complain about and I'm happy you know pretty much every day of my life. It's one of those things like I drew from those bad experiences, from my last few months in WWE for how some of the hard-core fans treated me to how I felt was pretty unfair considering there were a lot of things out of my control like physical issues. Sacrifices I made like throwing myself off three-foot ladders, through tables, for twelve/thirteen years. You know that does make you 'Cold Blooded' to a degree, so that's actually where all that's drawn from. I wanted to build on it as time goes. The character is really in it's beginning stages. It's in 101 now. I have a lot of really cool ideas going forward."

Honky Tonk Man posts blog bashing Hogan

The Honky Tonk Man posted a new blog entitled "The Truth about Hulk Hogan and HTM."

Here are some highlights:

"Hogan is a walking dead because he went with that travelling door to door meat salesman Bischoff instead of hanging with the guys who stood beside him and once again turned on WWE. McMahon's done with Hogan and WWE have no interest in his dead ass. They put over Hogan, built him up as Babe Ruth and he spat in their face. Hogan was due to wrestle John Cena at a recent past WrestleMania but couldn't commit due to his health issues then announces at Vince's backyard MSG that he's signed with TNA. Now after taking TNA nowhere Hogan's had to take a pay cut with TNA and mark my words within 6 months he'll be gone."

"THQ recently signed Hogan to WWE Allstars as his contract allows for outside licensing which is a slap in the face to TNA. Would McMahon let any WWE star sign a TNA merchandise deal? How is that taking "the company to the next level" Brother!."

Northside Wrestling Federation results from 2-26 in Batesville, AR

Wrestling returned to Batesville, AR at the Old Miller Gym on Saturday night with Derrick King and Cody Melton.

The show opened with a very nice turnout of around 75-100 people in the crowd for the first ever NWF show in Batesville, AR. The man behind the music, DJ Infinite opened the show asking the crowd if they were ready for some action to which they responded with lots of cheers. Infinite then told everyone that tonight there would be an NWF Champion crowned in a tournament or the title followed by asking everyone to stand for the playing of the United States national anthem. Following the national anthem we had our first match of the night.

Opening Match
NWF Championship Tournament Semi-Final
Suicide w/ Jay Webber vs David Rodriguez

Suicide and Webber came to the ring with a box in hand, not sure what's in it but I'd like to know. One fan in the audience said their mom was in it. Not sure of how true that is, but it's a good possibility. A good match up here with both guys looking to make it into the four way match in the main event to crown the NWF Champion. Rodriguez looked to have the match up won until Webber had the referee distracted which allowed Suicide to nail Rodriguez with the box they brought to the ring and steal the match. Suicide advanced to the main event title match.

Winner: Suicide

2nd Match
NWF Championship Tournament Semi-Final
Gravedigger vs Tommy Wayne

This match saw the return of the local favorite Gravedigger to the ring to take on another local favorite, "Mr. Playboy" Tommy Wayne. Gravedigger didn't seem to be liked too well by the crowd but he didn't care. Gravedigger used his power to dominate Tommy early on but Tommy got his fair share of shots in on the big man from death valley. Tommy would get a quick surprising roll up on the big man and upset Gravedigger in his return to the ring. Tommy left the ring celebrating his entry into the main event title match. Gravedigger however, didn't look too happy. I'd hate to be the person he takes his frustrations out on that's for sure.

Winner: Tommy Wayne

Following the match DJ Infinite let everyone know that the show would be going to a brief intermission before the start of the next match. During the intermission DJ Infinite thanked all of the great sponsors of the NWF.

Heuer's Family Shows
Ink Fountain
Deals for Dollars
J&J Auto Sales
Car Today
Dying Breed Designs

All great sponsors. I don't know who does those Dying Breed Designs but he's great. I'd definitely want him doing all of my work.

Match 3
NWF Championship Tournament Semi-Final
Derrick King vs Debo

Derrick King made his way out being as cocky as ever. He even had words with the DJ telling him that he is the worst DJ ever and then continued to run down the NWF promotion, as well as the town of Batesville and all of the fans in attendance. Derrick King used cheap tactics to get the upper hand on the big man Debo. King however wouldn't have the upper hand for long as Debo came firing back into the match knocking the cocky King off his feet however Debo would get stopped with a super kick from King for the win.

Winner: Derrick King

Following the match Derrick King continued to run down the fans and again the DJ. He then walked over to the DJ booth and had words with DJ Infinite and told him to play his music which he did until he had enough of King's cocky attitude and shut his music off. This angered King who then took the NWF Championship belt that was sitting at the DJ booth. King took the belt and went to the back saying he would bring the belt back in the main event when he is officially crowned champion after winning it.

Sexy Sartin made his way out to the ring before the next match and ran his mouth to the crowd letting every know that he is in the NWF and he will be looking to make an impact

Match 4
NWF Championship Tournament Semi-Final
Jay Webber w/ Suicide vs Cody Melton

The crowd was very much behind Cody Melton. Suicide and Webber had that box with them again. We still don't know what's in it. The match saw some good back and forth action with Cody Melton nailing the most beautiful dropkicks I've ever seen. Melton was getting the upper hand and had the crowd completely on his side. Suicide distracted the referee while Webber attempted to hit Melton with the box however Webber failed as Melton ducked it and nailed a variation of the Backstabber for the win.

Winner: Cody Melton

DJ Infinite then took us to another intermission, announcing that after this brief intermission would be the main event for the NWF Championship featuring Suicide, Tommy Wayne, Derrick King, and Cody Melton.

It was announced before the main event that there was only one man big enough to referee the four way main event and that man was none other than BIG AL!

Main Event
NWF Championship
Fatal Four-way Elimination Match
Suicide vs Tommy Wayne vs Derrick King vs Cody Melton

This was definitely the match of the night. All four guys brought their best and it showed. Cody Melton looked to be on the way to eliminating Suicide until Jay Webber switched places with Suicide and rolled Melton up in a small package to cheaply eliminate Melton. The crowd booed Suicide heavily as Melton looked upset that he had been eliminated in such a cheap fashion. Suicide however didn't last long as Tommy Wayne quickly disposed of him and it was down to Tommy Wayne and Derrick King. The match spilled out of the ring and onto the floor as King rammed Tommy's shoulder into three of the four ring posts and Tommy looked to be hurting pretty badly. Derrick continued to be cocky and show off until Tommy came fighting back and looked to be on his comeback until he ran into a sick boot from King. King then nailed Tommy with a nasty super kick but Tommy just wouldn't stay down. King got angered and got in the face of the special referee Big Al and even went as far as to shove the big man. Al however didn't let King scare him as he shoved King back. King stumbled back into a quick roll up from Tommy for the three count!

Winner and New NWF Champion: Tommy Wayne

Tommy celebrated with his newly won NWF Championship as the crowd went crazy for him. Tommy looked to be favoring his shoulder but none the less he is your first ever NWF Champion. Derrick King sat in the ring looking upset and then yelled at the DJ to stop the music. King then called DJ Infinite in the ring and said he wanted DJ Infinite to announce who the NWF Champion is. Infinite then said, Tommy Wayne. King said no, and then once again asked Infinite who the NWF Champion which Infinite replied again with, Tommy Wayne. King said now he's getting pissed. He said he would ask DJ Infinite one more time who the NWF Champion is. DJ Infinite thought about it for a second before answering, Tommy Wayne for a third time. King then got angry and shoved the young DJ Infinite who showed he isn't intimidated by King and shoved King back, knocking him on his butt to a loud reaction from the crowd. DJ chants began as the kid left the ring and returned to his DJ booth as the crowd cheered him on. King sat in the ring and pouted as the DJ played Tommy Wayne's music to end the show. King continued to sit and pout as the fans left.

A great opening show for the Northside Wrestling Federation in Batesville, AR.

Come back next week and it's sure to be just as entertaining, no wait, even MORE entertaining than it was in it's first week.

He said that wrestling has torn his family apart, from the incident with the walkers and DCW to an even worse situation with his own son. But, tonight he was giving the fans a great show and had plenty of surprises. He called out Oz and said tonight Oz would face Unified Champion Big Red for the title.

At this point Jeremy Moore and Anarchy came to the ring to interrupt. Moore questioned his dad and said if he were any kind of father he would have handed this company to him so he could make it even more successful. Moore said his dad was stupid because regardless if he owned the company or not Moore could walk in next week and become the champion. Moore said he is a superstar and will be a superstar no matter where he goes. Jeff said enough talk, since the Unified tag champions were in the ring then its time for some surprises. Jeff said Moore had a match later but now its a tag title match, and the opponents were....... Naughty By Nature!!

1. NXN ( Rude/Tully ) def. Tim Edwards/Brad Badd to become unified tag champions... Crowd was HOT for NXN

2. Weezy won a battle royal that included : KoKo, Buckwheat, rockin' randy, shannon lee, redman and phoenix X. Big Red came out and attacked weezy and randy and tossed randy over the ropes.

3. Christian Jacobs, Jason Reed, and Stan Lee def. Rocker, Robbie Douglas, and The Goldenboy in a NBW All Stars 6 man tag, after the match all the faces ( including Rocker ) gave TGB a beating!

4. C-Money cashed in his stairway to stardom contract and defeated Dell Tucker to win The High Risk Championship and retire the title!

5. Jeremy Moore came out for his match and demanded to know who his opponent could possibly be.... Seth Knight came out to a superstar reaction! Seth Knight def. Jeremy Moore. Moore played an old school heel using every trick in the book. The ref was down and knight had Moore pinned and Jeff took his shirt off to reveal a ref shirt and he made the quick 3. After the match Jeff fired Moore and the Anarchy to a huge pop and the goodbye song. Moore was shocked and refused to leave, he staked out the ring until Christian Jacobs and Stan Lee came out. CJ gave Moore a huge spear and Stan did a super frog splash with help from CJ. Moore was dragged out!

6. Oz def. Big Red to become the Unified NBW Heavyweight Champion!!! Oz for shoot had no clue he would win and showed real emotion after winning his first Heavyweight title. Post match all the faces came out to celebrate and even Big Red shook his hand. Then a ton of crowd members got in the ring to celebrate with Oz and the other wrestlers to close the NBW Finale in Newbern!!!

New Millennium Wrestling results from Saturday night in Balch Springs, TX

On Saturday night, New Millennium Wrestling presented “Royal Pains” in Balch Springs, Texas, featuring WWE Hall of Fame member Jerry “The King” Lawler.

Approximately 200 people at the event, including the WWE “Sign Guy” and former World Class Championship Wrestling referee David Manning.

Opening bout was for the Tag Team Championship. The Apocalypse (not Mike Boyette – whew, how inside is that joke?) and “Mr. Saturday Night” Michael Barry defended against “The Big Time Playaz” – Scott McKenzie and Danny Matthews ( I always worry about a nickname like “Mr. Saturday Night.” It seems to portend bad luck from Sunday morning until Saturday afternoon). Match started off too choreographed and spot oriented, but developed into a good bout. McKenzie did the extended selling/ Rick Morton/”can I get a hot tag” portion of the match. Apocalypse threw some brutal chops. Match ended with a superkick and frog splash on Barry; Playaz became new champions. Not great, but probably the best match of the night.

Next came the obligatory WWE influenced extended skit. Jerry Lawler and Matt Riviera came out to plug their match. Lawler called Riviera “the who’s who of who cares.” In reference to manager Rich Rude, Lawler plumbingly stated, “The last time I saw something that look like that, I flushed it.” New Millenium’s General Manager, Kyle Davis, then entered the ring. Davis said that Lawler cost him a lot of money by not winning the WWE title. He said that Lawler wouldn’t be in the main event and that he was sending him out to the parking lot. Lawler asked the crowd if they would all go to the parking lot with him. Yes, indeed, the crowd replied. Lawler then asked if everyone would ask for a refund. Another affirmative response. A brief melee ensured with an angry Davis leaving the ring. I pondered whether these two gentlemen’s paths would cross later in the evening.

Franco “The Beast” D’Angelo over Wally Darkman. Big man/little man match with Darkman (our little man) hitting “The Beast” with a cane before the bout. D’Angelo hit a brutal looking powerbomb for the pin. Other than that, not much to see here, folks.

The “Texas Legend” Action Jackson pinned Danny Saint. Long time fans may remember Action Jackson from the dying days of WCCW and a brief run in Memphis. Jackson got a big pop for his entrance. Pretty much a squash match with Jackson working extremely stiff. Danny Saint took a vicious body slam onto the thin mat outside the ring. After the match, Action Jackson was attacked by manager Lance Romance and his entourage, including several chair shots to Jackson’s arm.

Double count out between Brandon Collins and Mace Malone. Brandon must have overslept in the tanning bed this week - the crowd’s best moment of the night was chanting “you need sunblock” at him. Both of these guys have good athletic builds, but the match was a series of spots with no psychology. If Mace never throws a worked punch again, the world will be a better place. Spot of the night was a 180 flip off the top rope by Collins.

Jerry Lawler over Matt Riviera. Matt came out wearing the old school, flashy robe with “Lover Boy” on the back. Pretty much a comedy match with liberal interference from manager Rich Rude. At one point, Lawler did the 10 punches on the turnbuckle routine. Matt then stumbled to the next corner, where Lawler again did 10 punches. Repeat, wash, and rinse this spot until all four corners are covered. Riviera’s offense was limited to kicks/punches and he did a lot of posing, overselling, and the coward heel routine. G.M. Kyle Davis came out after a ref bump (the ghost of Jerry Calhoun’s wrestling shirt invades DFW) and Riviera hit Lawler with a briefcase for a three count. That pretty much stunned the crowd. Then the second ref came out, restarted the match and Lawler won quickly with a schoolboy. After the match, Mr. Davis received a well executed pile driver from the royal visitor.
