Today marks the 10th year of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, what represents one of the most senseless and devastating crimes known to modern civilization. It's impossible not to remember where you were and what you were doing when the World Trade Center towers collapsed, when the Pentagon was hit, when the fourth plane was taken over by heroic passengers and crashed in the fields in western Pennsylvania. The day that changed a nation & united a generation. I remember watching the Today show at home when this terrible, barbaric attack first happen and flipping through all the news stations watching the terrorist attack the USA. Watching people jumping to their death out of the Twin Towers window from being burnt alive from the flames that were coming toward them. It was such a sad day for all of us and something that will never be forgotten. I thought I would share my picture with you that I have never published. This is a picture of me coming back from seeing the Statue Of Liberty on a private cruise. The picture was taken in October of 2000 when I was a guest on "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" within less than a year later the Twin Towers were destroyed and kill almost 3,000 people and destroyed so many lives. I look at the picture and think about how many people was working in that building that day I took this picture and now there no longer with us because of the terrorist attack. It brings a tear to my eye every time I think about it. On this sad day, WNC remembers and honors the victims and hopes for a future without terrorism.
God Bless the USA!!
