WTVA Report Of Izzy Rotten aka Gary Woolridge Arrested!

Former corrections officers arrested

BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) -- A New Albany man has been charged with multiple counts of uttering a forgery after he was accused of writing checks on a relative's bank account.

Gary Wayne Woolridge, 29, was arrested as part of an investigation into the passing of checks in Lee, Union, Itawamba and Prentiss County.

Authorities say Woolridge wrote the checks on an account of a relative who was deployed with the military and had stored items at Woolridge's home.

The relative notified authorities when his bank account didn't have funds to cover checks he had written.

Authorities say Woolridge was terminated from his job as a corrections officer with the Prentiss County Sheriff's Department following his arrest on the charges.

Once again this is a let down of our Prentiss
County officials credibility. As others in the
past, city, and county officials, he needed to
lose his job. He now needs correction, we
need more trustworthy and honest officials
running our town.
Keep our town in all your Prayers!
