VIDEO: Jeff Hardy vs Sting Debacle From Victory Road PPV-Eye Witness Account, Turmoil in TNA Locker Room and More on Jeff Hardy
Partial Source: PWInsider.com
As reported earlier, TNA Wrestling officials made the decision to send Jeff Hardy home from this week's iMPACT! television tapings. Reports from last night's show were that Hardy was in no condition to perform and management decided to cut his match with Sting short.
Unlike the last time there was a question about Hardy's condition (prior to the Final Resolution pay-per-view in December, company officials were going to strip Hardy of the World Heavyweight Championship due to his condition backstage at the event, but then changed their minds) no one within the company has attempted to defend him. Many company employees are very upset about the situation, especially with the decision to allow Hardy to go out in front of the audience considering he stumbled on the ramp and nearly tripped over the ring steps. Others were surprised that an audible wasn't called to "make it up" to the audience. You could also see that Sting was clearly pissed off following the bout.
While Hardy has been sent home from this week's iMPACT! tapings, no further decision has been made regarding his future in the organization. Hardy was going to be booked in this year's Lethal Lockdown match at Lockdown.
As WrestlingINC.com owner Raj Giri posted earlier, Hardy tweeted last night that "things are op." Huh?! His next court date in Moore County, North Carolina is scheduled for Wednesday.
Matt Hardy tweeted the following, "Well, today has been quite the interesting day to say the least. And yes, Jeff is fine. I'm (definitely) fine. Just sore from busting my ass last night."

Eye Witness Account Of Jeff Hardy Backstage Last Night
WZ reader Jay Ray has sent in the following email:
Long time reader, first time email-er. I have a brother who works backstage at the Impact Zone occasionally, and he was there last night for the TNA PPV. He sent me a text message before the main event started telling me that something was about to go down, and I visited him today to ask him what was up. He told me that Jeff showed up to the arena later than he was supposed to and went missing backstage shortly after arriving. Management had to rush to find him before the match; he was apparently laid back in the corner of a bathroom. He got chewed out pretty harsh and had to be helped to the ring entrance. My brother was near the entrance and he said that they were all pissed off at him for his condition, and because of their yelling his was late for his own entrance. Sting wasn't saying much, but he was visibly upset. Jeff, according to my brother, seemed like he didn't have a clue what was going on and seemed to be nodding off while standing up. He said it was pretty bad.
Just thought you guys would like to know. My brother said that he thinks Jeff was supposed to win the title, because they mentioned repeatedly how much this would change their plans. Of course, they may have just meant for the match and not for the future story, so take that as you will.
More Backstage Turmoil in TNA Locker Room
WrestleZone has exclusively spoken with both key insiders and several wrestlers in Orlando for the TNA iMPACT! taping for Spike TV, and it appears as though TNA truly has a locker room in an uproar over the Jeff Hardy situation and the general lack of leadership in the company.
"Half the locker room believes Jeff Hardy was sent home for being unprofessional," a key TNA insider told us this evening, "the other half of the locker room thinks this is some sort of an elaborate work by Eric Bischoff, Vince Russo, and Hulk Hogan, because they were famous for swerving the boys in WCW."
When we read that statement to a prominent TNA wrestler, we were told, "Bischoff, Russo, and Hogan all took pride in working the boys, too. You should have seen everyone last year when TNA did the Montreal Screwjob finish, and they were all like little girls running around thinking they'll get the Internet to believe it was for real."
"I agree with that," a TNA mainstay told us tonight, "I think Hogan, Bischoff, and Russo are blind. They think the object is to get people to believe something is real, instead of getting characters over and building to intriguing matches people want to see."
Needless to say, TNA has a major problem on their hands right now. There appears to be a general feeling that there is a void in leadership, and the agents are not considered authority figures. Whether Jeff Hardy was really sent home, or this is all a sick, elaborate work remains to be seen.
TNA's locker room is confused, as the talent is very upset over the ways things are playing out in the real world as opposed to the fantasy world of pro wrestling. Said one TNA wrestler tonight, "our families are on the line here. I really wish these people would just stop playing games with our lives."
