PWO: Statement on Incident Between Marion Fontaine & Wrestlezone.com's Justin LaBar
Recently, during an episode of PWO TV on Sports Time Ohio, Marion Fontaine was addressing the live crowd with comments prior to his scheduled match. However, at that point, Mr. Fontaine decided to deviate from his planned topic and direct some very harsh and out-of-line comments toward Justin LaBar. Justin serves as host of "Chair Shot Reality", a weekly podcast on Wrestlezone.com where he reviews and reports on news and events throughout the wrestling industry. We at PWO have been fortunate enough to have Mr. LaBar on hand sitting in the crowd at many of our recent events, and in turn reviewing these events on Wrestlezone. It seems Marion Fontaine, however, has taken personal offense to some of Justin's remarks toward him in recent show reviews. Justin LaBar has, in fact, been critical of Marion Fontaine over the months, but has never done so in a personal, harsh, or unprofessional manner. Mr. Fontaine claimed that Justin LaBar had no credibility and that his opinion "meant zilch", as do the opinions of all other wrestling website and message boards. He also made the claim that Justin has no right to his opinion due to the fact he has never been in the professional wrestling business.
PWO does not condone or endorse the comments made by Mr. Fontaine, and apologize to Justin LaBar, Wrestlezone.com, and any other fan, columnist, or pundit who feels insulted by Fontaine's remarks. We at PWO appreciate feedback, both positive and negative, from fans from all walks of life and demographics, including and especially those dedicated and passionate enough to follow professional wrestling via the many great websites or message boards in existence.
Marion Fontaine has been cautioned in regards to future comments, and we at PWO look forward to continuing to strengthen our working relationship with Justin LaBar and Wrestlezone.com.
