Breaking News!! Tony Watts Message To Danny B and Fans Of XOW

Tony Watts called me up this morning and wanted me to post his statement to Danny B and the fans of XOW. Tony said he has not slept at all and his nerves is shot because of Danny B's action last night at XOW.

Danny B you talk about the book of Revelations and you being a christian, and a fan favorite. What you done last night to Syn, Chris P Fries, The Fans that paid to see your ass, and especially Mickey Ray was uncalled for. There was several regular XOW fans that told me they would never be back if you was booked again at an XOW show. I had two people in the sky box that was going to help sponsor the XOW shows but after they seen the shit you did they said they will never sponsor an XOW show. You're a disgrace to the business and shouldn't be allowed in any dressing room and Danny B you will never be allowed in an XOW ring again. You're nothing but a piece of shit in my book. I would also like to take this opportunity to apologize to the fans and workers of XOW who had to witness this.

Tonight, at the XOW show that took place in Hernando, several strange events occurred, involving Danny B.

First, before the match was getting ready to begin, Danny went off on the mic, blasting the promotion for not having the cage that was advertised and claimed they were cheating the people. Referee Chris P. Fries explained that they had a flat and could not deliver the cage in time for the match. Danny B. made some disparaging remarks to Chris P. and got right in his face, telling him, "This is a shoot!"

Later, after the end of an incredible and crazy main event, Danny B. hit Mickey Ray with several stiff chair shots and challenged any of the guys in the back that had something to say to come on down to the ring. Syn, who was watching the show in the crowd, came to check on Mickey Ray. Syn told Danny, "That's enough", but Danny kept going off on his tirade. The fans left because things were getting a bit too heated.

XOW's Tony Watts asked me if I would post his response to Danny B's strange situation that transpired Saturday night.

FEBRUARY 27, 2010

WARNING: Due to some strong language, this may not be suitable for all viewers

Tonight, at XOW we had a problem with Danny B. He shot on me. He shot on these fans. I bent over backwards for that man and he shit on me. I'm not playing that game. I'm sorry that the cage could not get here, tonight, but due to financial reasons we could not get the cage here.

I have sweat, bled and cried for this company. Me and my son sets this ring up to give these guys a place to work. If they disrespect me like Danny B. did tonight, they will not be working on a XOW show.

Appreciate everyone that's been with XOW from day one. I'm sorry I can't have everyone that I would like. I'm taking a couple months off and XOW will come back, bigger and better than ever!

These fans are the ones that paid their hard earned money to come watch the show and I'll be damned if anyone is going to shit on them!

More to come, later. I've got a lot on my mind.

Full reports and pictures from Saturday's IWA and XOW shows to be posted in the next couple days. Great day of wrestling that was lots of fun despite the bizarre way the night ended.

WWE releases another one

World Wrestling Entertainment released referee Scott Armstrong today. Armstrong was hired shortly after the company launched the ECW brand in 2006. Armstrong, son of Southern legend Bob Armstrong, also refereed for WCW following a long in-ring career. He is the brother of BG "Road Dogg" James.

UPDATE: The firing of Scott Armstrong comes as a big surprise to many as WWE is in need of referees and they aren't highly paid. As noted earlier, Armstrong was very well liked among his peers and many were surprised to see him go.

Maria comments on her release by WWE

Maria posted the following via Twitter:

Alright guys let's talk. I did not ask for my release. I was released. I am still going to kick ass in other areas!! I am excited about the future! But I am sad about never getting the Championship. I am sad about not getting the chance to go to Wrestlemania again. Passion is my Motivation! Time to Sing! Time to work for Charity! Time to Dance! Time to be Alive again! Much love to my FANS, my FAMILY, the DIVAS, and my FRIENDS! There is a bright new future when one door closes another opens! Bring on the Doors! Spanks and Kisses

UPDATE: Maria's WWE firing is somewhat surprising as she was awarded the Diva of the Year Slammy last year and is set to be on NBC's Celebrity Apprentice this season. She will represent WWE during the show. She has been vocal in interviews recently about wanting to phase down her involvement in wrestling, so the release may have had something to do with that. She seemed fairly shocked earlier with her Twitter messages. She said she was not told in advance and was notified today that she had been fired. As noted, she celebrated her 28th birthday yesterday.

Former WWE star looking to come back

Former WWE wrestler Shawn Stasiak is looking to make a return to wrestling after being out of the national spotlight for 8 years. He can be booked through his new website at "I am in the best shape of my life," Stasiak says. "I still have a passion to do this and have been doing quite a few smaller shows lately as a baby face. I really enjoy it as I have been connecting with the crowd like never before." Stasiak dropped off the wrestling radar in 2002 when he was released by WWE. Following his release, he attended Parker College in Dallas, Texas, and received his doctorate in Chiropractic in 2006.

EWE Results from 2-20 in Ripley, TN

-Rockin Randy vs Ike Tucker-
Rockin Randy is DQ'd after Dell Tucker interfers. "The Prodigies" proceed to lay the boots to a helpless Ike Tucker then leave the ring. Ike eventually gets back to his feet and tells everyone that he's about to make a phone call and that "The Prodigies" will pay tonight and leaves the ring.

-Tommy Jones vs Tommy Redneck-
Match is also DQ'd after Redneck intentually gets himself disqualified by punting Jones in the crouch in front of the referee. Redneck exits the ring leaving Jones on his knees in the middle of the ring. Meanwhile, "LSD" have already made their way out to the commentators booth earlier during the match to talk about February Fallout next week and of course themselves. When Redneck leaves the ring, "LSD" take the opportunity to set an example by putting the boots to Jones as he's trying to get back to his feet. Suddenly JR Manson runs to the ring to defend Jones but is cut off by "LSD". They begin to lay the boots to both when Flash Flanagan makes his way to the ring to help Manson and Jones. Flash, Jones, and Manson manage to clear the ring and challenge "LSD" to an impromptu 6 man tag team match. After a few moments of thinking it over "LSD" accepts and the referee starts the match.

-"LSD" vs Flash Flanagan/Tommy Jones/JR Manson-
Match starts off normal with back and forth action from both teams, but suddenly it gets out of hand and all 6 men spill to the outside. Match is thrown out due to ref not being able to regain control as all 6 men fight all over the building. Flash eventually gets his hands on the kendo stick and connects with all three members of "LSD" and they flee the ring. Flash then takes the mic and issues a challenge to "LSD". He tells them that this is what he comes here to do, fight! He goes on to tell them that if they got the guts then they can all settle this next week at February Fallout in a 6 man Street Fight! After thinking over yet another challenge, "LSD" agree again and tell Flash/Jones/Manson that they don't know what they've started because next week will be a blood bath!

Bishop makes his way to the ring for a scheduled interview where he talks about Jon Michael. He reminds the audience that he is the one responsible for putting Seth Knight out of commission and he is also responsible for causing Jon Michael to apparently quit EWE. He tells the audience to tell Jon Michael when they see him or talk to him that Bishop is laying down a challenge and if he can back up everything he's said before he disappeared, then at February Fallout they can settle the score. But Bishop threatens that if he does show up, it will be the last time the audience will ever see him again because he will end his career.

-Rude vs Dell Tucker-
Rude gets the win after hitting Tucker with the TKO. Randy storms the ring on Rude just as Tucker did earlier to Ike Tucker. "The Prodigies" proceed to lay the boots to Rude when suddenly Ike Tucker runs out to make the save, but strangely stops and the ring apron and backs off. "The Prodigies" know they have Ike outnumbered so they eagerly invite Ike to try to take them on. Ike then turns back to the entrance and waves out none other than "The Cosmic Cowboy" Brian Steele. R&B storm the ring and the two teams go at it. R&B eventually send "The Prodigies" to the floor where they take the mic and tell R&B that they have no business being in this company ran by Derrick King and that next week they will make sure they're little reunion doesn't last to long because their match next week at February Fallout will now be a Loser Leaves Town match. R&B waste no time in agreeing to the match and tell "The Prodigies" that they don't want to wait until next week, they want to beat them across town right now. Both teams begin fighting again as they take it all the way down the street outside of the arena!

EWE Title Match
-Christian Jacobs vs Bishop-
Awesome title match with Jacobs retaining the title after a series of near falls and eventually hitting Bishop with the spear for the win. After the match Mark Tipton conducts a brief post match interview with Jacobs. Tipton asks Jacobs how he feels after retaining his title tonight and going into February Fallout to face Derrick King for 50% of the company? Jacobs tells him that it feels great and for everybody to come next week because he's going to kick Derrick King's ass and take back EWE!

February Fallout

Loser Leaves Town
Rhythm & Blues vs The Prodigies

6 Man Street Fight

WWE HOF Legend Gordon Solie Remembered In New Book

Shannon Rose sent along the following:

Gordon Solie, Hall of Famer, Remembered In New Digital Book

Gordon Solie is frequently remembered as the best announcer in the history of professional wrestling

Before that he was one of the pioneers in stock car racing and an award winning radio broadcaster.

If there's a credible wrestling Hall of Fame out there, Gordon Solie has been inducted; such groups include World Championship Wrestling (WCW), National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

The "Walter Cronkite of wrestling," or the "Dean of professional wrestling announcers," as Solie was known, kept rare photos from his involvement in stock car racing and wrestling.

Now, 200 images from the Gordon Solie Collection are woven through his writings in the new eBook "Gordon Solie...Something Left Behind." (ISBN 978-0-578-04808-6 (previously Hardback ISBN 0-9763062-290000)

Solie's daughter, Pam, spoke about publishing the new eBook, "Dad was known for his extensive vocabulary and his ability as a great story teller. Those qualities are evident in his writings. I am pleased by all the compliments I've received in regard to Dad's writings.

"He was also a pack-rat and for that I am thankful because he kept some great photos from both racing and wrestling. It's exciting that people can now download images, from the Gordon Solie Collection to their desktop, laptop or eBook reader for less than ten dollars.

"There are pictures of Dad with Sterling Golden (before he was Hulk Hogan), Harley Race, Ric Flair, Andre the Giant, Dory and Terry Funk, Jack Brisco, Lou Thesz, Dusty Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, Roddy Piper, Ricky Steamboat and many, many more. Along with that, there are some great mementos from his involvement with stock car racing.

"Gordon Solie Enterprises, Inc. just launched a website called to introduce the new eBook and as time permits, we plan to add audio/video of Dad along with more memorabilia."

For interviews or appearances with Robert or Pamela Allyn, contact Shannon Rose at: (813) 960-8412; (813) 389-0801; or

About Robert and Pamela Allyn:

The Allyns emerged as credible authors with the launching of "Gordon Solie Something Left Behind (Hardback) at the 2005 Tampa WrestlingReunion. The festivities included appearances by over seventy legends from the "squared circle" and led to interviews for the Allyns on Tampa's WTVT-TV and WTSP-TV along with an appearance at the St. Petersburg Times Reading Festival.

In 2008, the Allyns made a trip to Orlando where Pam appeared onstage for the induction of her father by Jim "JR" Ross into the 2008 WWE Hall of Fame.

In August of 2009, "The Solie Chronicles: The Life and Times of Gordon Solie" was published by Crowbar Press and included writing credits for Robert and Pamela as well as wrestling historian, Scott Teal. The positive reception to Solie's biography began a flurry of interviews/appearances/rev iews with media such as: The Fight Show; The Pro Wrestling Report; Bill Apter-Gordon Solie Review; SLAM! Update On Tommy Wayne

I copied the original story from RRO and posted it here at WNC. I'm sure Brian Tramel will get to the bottom of this story and we let you know. Here's what Princess Selina sent to RRO and WNC.

IWA Championship Wrestling Television Results-February 20, 2010-2 Title Matches, Precious Returns, IWA "FINALE" TONIGHT, WNC Will Be At IWA This Sat.

Jason Hall started the show by interviewing SnS (Syn & Stunner) along with their manager, The 2009 Manager of the Year, Jason "The Brain". Jason Hall congratulated them on becoming the number one contenders for the tag-team titles by winning the eXtraordinary match at "New Beginning", but asked them how they felt about cheating Malik and Suicide out of their opportunity. Jason "The Brain", who was holding the briefcase, responded, by saying, "First of all, we didn't cheat anybody out of anything! Ok! The referee raised our hands! They didn't raise the two crybabies' hands! I've been hearing all week, "Oh you cheated them! You cheated them!" We didn't cheat nobody! Ok! We're the hottest thing in IWA! We haven't lost a match in like twelve years! That's how good we are. So, today we're gonna go out there and we're gonna have a match. And we get a little bit more of Suicide and Malik. And we're gonna dry those tears up with some slaps, today."

Jason "The Brain" asked DJ Stunner, who was rubbing his IWA Lightweight Championship, "What is your problem?" Jason told Stunner, "Don't concentrate on that because it was me that put that belt on your waist. Don't forget about that, alright? You need to concentrate on the team. We have tag-team title matches, coming up." Jason "The Brain" asked DJ, "Are you in love with your belt?" DJ said, "I'm the champ." Jason "The Brain" continued, "You need to concentrate on today. We have a match, today." DJ let him know that he had already signed up for a match where he would be defending his IWA Lightweight title. Jason "The Brain" expressed his disapproval by telling DJ, "You don't sign up for anything, unless I say it's ok! That's why I'm your manager! That's why you brought me in so you could win. Had a MMA look to him. Stunner started things by knocking down Sydal with a shoulderblock and dancing like JTG from Cryme Tyme. Stunner ducked a clothesline, running the ropes, but Geno Sydal caught him with a nice overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Jason "The Brain" jumped up on the apron and threw something on the otherside of the ring, thus distracting Referee Adam Bell. When Referee Adam Bell went outside the ring to check on what it was that Jason had tossed over there, Jason "The Brain" ran in and blindsided Geno with something. As Geno went after Jason "The Brain", Stunner snuck up from behind and caught him with the sick stone cold stunner out of the fireman's carry position to get the three count. Your winner and STILL IWA Lightweight Champion, DJ Stunner!

Grymes tried to punch Pappy, but Pappy dodged and hit Grymes. This caused Grymes to get mad and hulk up. Another lockup with Grymes, once again, going for a right hand, but Pappy blocked it and hit him with one of his own, sending Grymes to his corner to tag in Izzy Rotten, who Jason Hall referred to as "White Chocolate". Pappy challenged Izzy to a test of strength. As soon as Pappy was gaining the advantage, Izzy landed a shot to the gut. Izzy followed with a headbutt to Pappy, that resulted in no damage to Pappy and Izzy, immediately, falling to the mat. That was funny! Pappy tagged in Psycho. Back inside, Nick Grymes superkicked Pappy, who turned into a big clothesline from hell that was delivered by Izzy Rotten. Izzy covered Pappy. "Satan's Pitbull" Armageddon followed with a clothesline and bashed Bishop with a series of brutal punches. Dre Black picked up Bishop and handed him to Armageddon, who left him laying after delivering his big chokeslam.

Before Dre Black could leave the ring, Jason Hall gave him a teddy bear that he said was from Dre Black's secret admirer. Dre Black did not care for the gift and demanded that Jason tell him who it was from. All of the sudden, the music hit and "Every Man's Dream and Every Woman's Nightmare" Precious walked out. That's right! "The Flamboyant Mauler" Precious is back in the IWA! Precious waved and wished Dre Black a happy Valentine's Day.

Then, they showed some footage from outside the IWA Arena. This featured Brother Love, Malik "The Great", Jason Hall and Suicide all talking about the recent actions of Carnage Antwane. As Brother Love was walking away, he was maliciously ran over by someone in a white Chevrolet TrailBlazer. As Jason Hall, Malik and Suicide stormed over to check on the health of Brother Love, the camera zoomed in on "Big CA" Carnage Antwane, who was standing beside the vehicle. He did it. Wrestler Accuses 'Bubba the Love Sponge' of Hate Call

Pro wrestler Awesome Kong claims a radio host called her in the middle of the night from a blocked number and threatened to "'sucker punch' her until she stopped breathing," adding, "You'll be dead like all those other niggers in Haiti you fat black bitch!" Kong, whose real name is Kia Stevens, says AT&T refuses to identity the caller, who she believes is Todd Clem, aka Bubba the Love Sponge.

Stevens, who works for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, says she got into a backstage spat with Clem, a Total Nonstop contracted interviewer and radio host known as Bubba the Love Sponge, after Clem disparaged efforts to raise money for victims of the earthquake in Haiti.

Stevens claims Clem called her at her Tampa home from a blocked number at 5 a.m. on Feb. 10. She says the caller said, "'This is Bubba the Love Sponge here at (and at this point the caller named a radio station' and then alluded to the fact that the call was being broadcast on the radio. "The caller then started talking in a stream, threatening to come to the petitioner's house and 'sucker punch' her until she stopped breathing and then said, 'You'll be dead like all those other niggers in Haiti you fat black bitch ... Fuck Haiti!"

Stevens claims that when she did not respond, "the male who had identified himself as 'Bubba the Love Sponge' stated 'What d'ya think about that, Monkey Kong?' ... 'What? Those big fat Jimmy Walker lips ain't talking shit now, huh?'"
Stevens says she recognized Clem's voice, having heard his radio show.
According to media reports, Clem claimed on his show that Stevens had approached him backstage after a Jan. 18 wrestling match and "sucker-punched" him in the face several times while yelling "This is for Haiti!"

Kong reportedly served a two-day suspension for the altercation.

Stevens sued Clem and AT&T, demanding that the phone company release records that would identity the caller.

She is represented in Hillsborough County Court by Chris Mancini of Fort Lauderdale.

On his radio show today, Bubba the Love Sponge had plenty to say about the Awesome Kong situation. Some highlights:

The call to Kong did not come from his radio show, and he has witnesses to cover his whereabouts. He also mentioned possible recorded footage of him being elsewhere.
He didn't press charges after the incident because he wanted to get it all over with, but he is now exploring his legal options.
He is done with TNA .
He feels they didn't handle the situation the right way.
He is considering suing TNA, despite his friend Hulk Hogan being involved in the company.
He will not take any calls to his show on the subject, and any further comment from him will be through his attorney.
He found out about the suit through "the sheets".
He said the suit is based on hearsay, there is no proof, and AT&T can go ahead and release the number because it isn't his.
He is concerned that the allegations could hurt his radio career.

More than 25 years after leaving the Memphis Wrestling territory en route to superstardom as part of the Midnight Express tag team, "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton has found a new partner and recent success in one of his first wrestling homes.

In early 2009, Eaton was paired with local attraction "Golden Boy" Greg Anthony to form a new tag team called "Midnight Gold" along with their manager Brian Thompson. The trio was recently named both "Tag Team" and "MVP Tag Team" of the Year by fans and peers at, the top source for wrestling news in the Memphis region.

"Midnight Gold is a fabulous concept," said Brian Tramel, owner of the website. "You have a veteran star like Bobby teaming with two young guys like Anthony and Thompson, who are both students of the game. It was certainly a unique dynamic that I think caught the attention of fans and other wrestlers alike."

In the mid 1980's, Eaton was part of a multi-talent trade that led to the formation of the Midnight Express, comprised of Eaton, Dennis Condrey and Jim Cornette as the manager. They went on to great success that included one reign as National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) World Tag Team Champions in 1986. In 1987, Condrey left the wrestling business and Stan Lane became the new member of the team. The Midnight Express captured another World Tag Team Championship in 1988. The team ended its full time run in 1990, although a reunion in 2004 has led to many appearances of various combinations of the group in local independent promotions around the country.

The "Midnight Gold" team, along with RRO's "Wrestler of the Year" Dustin Starr, is featured on the cover of the newly released "Rasslin Riot Yearbook 2009." The yearbook contains facts, figures, reviews, history and awards from the Memphis wrestling area.

Top stories such as a backstage fight involving former WWE star "Grandmaster Sexay" Brian Christopher are covered in-depth as well as a shocking incident that cost a top rookie one year of his career only weeks after completing a grueling 60-minute match to graduate from the "Nightmare" Ken Wayne School of Professional Wrestling.

"We are proud of the yearbook," said Tramel.

The Yearbook can be ordered online at several outlets including or
