Cody Hawk defeated Chazz Stone.

Tysin Starr defeated Blackjack (BJ Fuller).

JR Mauler defeated Chrome w/Smooth by DQ due to interference by Rajah. Rajah, Chrome, & Smooth started to give JR a beating until Cassanova Kid ran in to make the save.

Bill "Superstar" Dundee, "Big Daddy" Neno, Buzz Harley, & Robert Devine defeated Bonecrusher, Cody Hawk, Brody Hawk, & Chris Fontaine when Dundee pinned Bonecrusher. Match stipulations called for the one who got pinned to lose his hair, so Bonecrusher got a Bozo the Clown style haircut, compliments of Neno. The photo above is not a good picture at all, but you see Bonecrusher with his new hair do - or should we now call him Bozocrusher?

Dixie Championship Wrestling "New Year's Collision" results from 1/30/10 in Dalton, GA

Results: Dixie Championship Wrestling's "New Year's Collision", 01/30/10, from Dalton, GA

- from DCW

THE SHOW OPENED WITH DCW COMMISSIONER JOHNNY BLAZE WELCOMING THE FANS AND HAVING A TEN BELL SALUTE FOR FORMER WRESTLER SARGE AND FOR DCW WRESTLER PSYCHO SCOTT'S MOTHER, WHO BOTH PASSED AWAY THIS WEEK. THE DCW ROSTER SURROUNDED THE RING TO SHOW THEIR RESPECT.

OUR FIRST MATCH OF THE EVENING WAS A NO DISQUALIFICATION MATCH BETWEEN FORMER FRIENDS, CHAD "THE BAD" CASE AND BOBBY BLAZE. IF CHAD WON THE MATCH, HE WOULD FINALLY GET A ONE ON ONE MATCH WITH ALLSTAR AT VIOLENCETINE'S DAY ON FEBRUARY 27TH. THESE TWO WENT ALL OVER THE ARENA AND WASN'T HOLDING BACK. THEY HIT EACH OTHER WITH EVERYTHING BUT THE KITCHEN SINK! THE ALLSTAR ATTEMPTED TO GET INVOLVED BUT IT BACKFIRED AS CHAD WAS ABLE TO OVERCOME THE ODDS AND NAIL A PEDIGREE ON A TIN SHEET FOR THE WIN. HE WILL NOW FACE ALLSTAR IN A MATCH OF HIS CHOOSING ON FEBRUARY 27TH.

OUR SECOND MATCH WAS A FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE MATCH INCLUDING RIVALS DAISY MAE AND CRYSTAL FIRE. THESE TWO GIRLS TOOK IT TO NEW LEVELS AS THEY BRAWLED AROUND THE ARENA WITH NOBODY TO STOP THEM. WEAPONS WERE USED AND BOTH WOMEN ENDED UP BUSTED OPEN IN THIS ONE! AFTER BRUTAL BACK AND FORTH ACTION, DAISY MAE WAS ABLE TO PICK UP THE VICTORY, MUCH TO THE DELIGHT OF THE ROARING CROWD.

THE SLUMBER PARTY MATCH WAS NEXT BETWEEN HAILEY RAGE AND ROCK-C BUT AS HAILEY POSED DURING HER ENTRANCE, THE NEW REFEREE ATTACKED HAILEY AND REVEALED HERSELF AS SAMANTHA LOVE, TAKING THE PLACE OF ROCK-C APPARENTLY. LOVE WAS ABLE TO CONTROL HAILEY THROUGHOUT MOST OF THE MATCH AS BROTHER FUSION MADE THEIR WAY TO RINGSIDE FOR SOME HELP. WITH THE RYMERS NOT ABLE TO MAKE IT, THE ODDS WERE STACKED AGAINST HAILEY. AS THE TWO GIRLS WENT BACK AND FORTH WITH PILLOWS, LOVE PUT A COOKIE SHEET INSIDE ONE OF THE PILLOWS, NAILED HAILEY, THEN PROCEEDED TO BEAT HER WITH THE SHEET CAUSING THE DQ. SPECIAL REF JOHNNY BLAZE PULLED LOVE OFF OF HAILEY AND SAMANTHA THEN GRABBED A ENVELOPE FULL OF CASH FROM BROTHER FUSION. BLAZE THEN HELPED HAILEY TO THE BACK.

IN RETORT, THE COMMISSIONER MADE BROTHER FUSION PUT THEIR TAG TEAM TITLE SHOT ON THE LINE IN A 3-WAY TAG AGAINST THE TEAMS OF AARON G AND BIG RED, AND THE TEAM OF MATT GILBERT AND SHAWN BELL. ALL THREE TEAMS BROUGHT THEIR ALL TO THE TABLE, BUT BROTHER FUSION HAD THE CLEAR ADVANTAGE BEING THE MORE STABLE TEAM, AND PICKED UP THE VICTORY AFTER HITTING THE "THIS MAY HURT" ON BIG RED. THEY WILL STILL FACE THE RYMERS FOR THE GOLD.

THE NEXT MATCH WAS TO DETERMINE THE NUMBER ONE CONTENDER FOR THE DCW TITLE AT VIOLENCETINE'S DAY. FORMER CHAMPION THE ALLSTAR WENT ONE ON ONE WITH "THE COOKIE BREAK KID" OREO. OREO WAS DEFINITELY THE UNDERDOG IN THIS MATCH BUT HAD SOLID SUPPORT FROM THE FANS. ALLSTAR PULLED OUT EVERYTHING HE COULD, BUT COULDN'T KEEP HIS OPPONENT DOWN. HE THEN GOT A STEEL CHAIR AND SWUNG AT OREO, WHO DUCKED, CAUSING THE CHAIR TO BOUNCE OFF THE TOP ROPE AND NAIL ALLSTAR IN THE HEAD! ALLSTAR THEN TURNED INTO A SUPER KICK THAT GAVE OREO THE 1-2-3. OREO WILL GET HIS FIRST SHOT AT A MAJOR TITLE AS HE WILL FACE WHOEVER IS DCW CHAMPION ON FEBRUARY 27TH.

WES "OMG" BLAZE THEN MADE HIS WAY TO THE RING FOR HIS BLINDFOLD MATCH WITH JOHNNY VIPER FOR THE TITLE. THE ALLSTAR CAME BACK OUT AND ANNOUNCED THAT VIPER WAS SNOWED IN AT HIS HOME IN TORONTO, CANADA AND COULD NOT MAKE IT TONIGHT. HE THEN BROUGHT OUT HIS NEW HIRED GUN, DOOMSDAY. ALLSTAR PROMISED IT WAS A NEW DOOMSDAY AND BOY IT WAS. DOOMSDAY DOMINATED THE MATCH, LIMITING WES' OFFENSE, AND EVEN BUSTED HIM WIDE OPEN! DOOMSDAY THEN FOLLOWED UP WITH THROWING WES INTO THE ROPES SO HARD, THAT HE SNAPPED THE TOP ROPE! DOOMSDAY THEN HIT HIS FINISHER SEVERAL TIMES BUT WOULD NOT PUT WES AWAY. THE REF ATTEMPTED TO STOP THE MATCH DUE TO BLOOD LOSS, BUT DECIDED TO AWARD WES THE MATCH VIA DQ AS DOOMSDAY PUSHED THE REF. JOHNNY BLAZE THEN ENTERED THE RING AND RAN DOOMSDAY AND ALLSTAR OFF.

AFTER FIXING THE RING ROPE, THE BULLROPE MATCH BETWEEN RICK HAYES AND JOEY IDOL WAS UP. AND THE RING COULD BARELY HOLD THESE TWO EITHER. JOEY IDOL PUMMELED RICK FOR MANY MINUTES BEFORE EVEN TYING THEMSELVES TO THE ROPE. BOTH MEN WERE QUICKLY BUSTED OPEN AND THE CROWD WAS SOLIDLY BEHIND JOEY IDOL. THE BELL SHOWED NO MERCY AS BOTH MEN WERE HUNG, BEATEN, AND BRUISED BY THE TIME THIS ONE ENDED. RICK HAYES MANAGED TO TOUCH THREE CORNERS, BUT JOEY IDOL DID AS WELL RIGHT BEHIND HIM. WHILE RICK WAS DISTRACTED BY JOHNNY BLAZE WHO WAS TALKING TO ANNOUNCER JL, JOEY SLIPPED PASS RICK AND NAILED THE FOURTH CORNER TO GET THE WIN. RICK STATED THAT HE WOULD MAKE SURE JOHNNY BLAZE PAY FOR ALL THE TROUBLE HE HAS CAUSED HIM.

OUR MAIN EVENT WAS THE FAMILY WARFARE BETWEEN THE GAGE BROTHERS, DAVID GAGE AND TOMMY GAGE. THE FANS WERE ELECTRIC IN THIS ONE AS YOU COULDN'T EVEN HEAR THE ENTRANCE MUSIC! FANS WERE ALSO LUMBERJACKS AS WELL AS WRESTLERS AND THEY WERE ALL ARMED WITH LEATHER STRAPS. TOMMY WELCOMED THE STRAPS AS HE WALKED AROUND THE RING TAKING SHOTS, WHILE DAVID DIDN'T ACCEPT THE PAIN SO WELL. REGARDLESS, BOTH MEN CAME OUT WITH MASSIVE WHELPS AND BLEEDING BACKS. SHAWN BELL ATTEMPTED TO INTERFERE, BUT TOMMY GOT THE UPPER HAND AND SENT BELL TO THE LUMBERJACKS WHO STRAPPED HIM TO THE BACK. THIS ALLOWED TOMMY TO HIT THE GAGE FACTOR ON DAVID AND PICK UP THE WIN CAUSING THE FANS TO JUMP FROM THEIR SEATS AND THE STANDING ROOM ONLY ARENA LIT UP. FRIENDS OFF TOMMY RAISED HIS HAND AND ESCORTED HIM TO THE BACK TO CLOSE THE SHOW.

Ring of Honor sues Flair

PWInsider is reporting that Ring of Honor filed a lawsuit against current TNA star Ric Flair this past Thursday in Bucks County, PA claiming Flair owes the company over $40,000. The lawsuit states Flair failed to live up to his contractual obligations as the "ROH Ambassador" at HDNet TV tapings and various live events and that he was originally signed to make five appearances at ROH house shows for $10,000an appearance. Flair failed to make an appearance at a July 2009 ROH event in Montreal and, according to ROH, has yet to return his $10,000 payment for that event. The lawsuit further states Flair only attended one ROH HDNet TV taping in Philadelphia, PA after coming to terms with the group to appear as an authority figure. Flair made appearances at one taping and at the next set announced he would be resigning due to his relationship with WWE. ROH paid Flair $35,000 for the TV appearances and ended up making only one appearance for the company.

Mike Mooneyham's column for 1-31-10

Pro wrestling loses its best friend

By Mike Mooneyham
Sunday, January 31, 2010

Professional wrestling lost its best friend with the passing last week of Georgiann Makropoulos.

“Georgie,” as she was known by nearly everyone in the business, died Monday at the age of 68 of a massive heart attack.

Along with her, I’m afraid, went a part of pro wrestling’s heart.

If you’re a casual fan of pro wrestling, chances are you may have never heard of Georgiann Makropoulos. She wasn’t a wrestler, a valet or an on-air personality. What she was, quite simply, was a delightful lady who spent more than half a century around the business — as a fan, a friend and a respected journalist.

Georgie had been a fixture at Madison Square Garden since the early ‘60s, and had the same ringside seats at the venue for more than 20 years until the arena ended its reserve seat practice. It was there she befriended many of the top wrestlers of that era, including the legendary Bruno Sammartino, with whom she remained close until her death.

I first crossed paths with then Georgiann Orsi nearly 45 years ago when I began writing for various wrestling publications. She was already established at that time, authoring her own fan club column in a national magazine, as well as serving as fan club president for stars such as Bruno, Buddy Rogers, Cowboy Bill Watts, Bob Orton Sr. and Bill Dromo.

Georgie was there long before the Net and the newsletters. While other wrestling writers and sheet editors went the way of the digital age years ago, Georgie continued to print and send out via snail mail her popular Wrestling Chatterbox newsletter every month, like clockwork.

The Chatterbox, which she started 22 years ago, was a fan-friendly, information-packed periodical in which members were more like family than subscribers, and whose pages contained random tidbits about the business in addition to a fan forum and monthly listing of wrestlers’ birthdays and personal appearances.

Georgie was able to make the transition to the Web, and wrote columns for prominent wrestling sites in addition to keeping the most accurate and comprehensive list of wrestling autograph and memorabilia events. In recent years she had dedicated a site of her own, wrestlingfigs.com, to the wrestling figurine business.

Her reach in the wrestling industry, though, extended well beyond the Internet and the pages of her monthly publication. She was a driving force for a number of independent wrestlers to get tryouts with major promotions, and even was involved in setting up contract negotiations. She literally touched fans in every corner of the globe.

She was a link bridging the generations from Bruno to Hogan to Austin to Cena, a common bond between eras, and although she had become disenchanted with the direction the industry had taken over the years, she nonetheless remained one of wrestling’s biggest boosters and always strove to make the profession a better place. Her admiration and love for “the boys” never waned.

Professional wrestling was a labor of love for Georgie, and those in the business loved her for it. No one ever had a bad word when talking about her. That’s a rarity in this profession, but it was true with Georgie.

Georgie, who had successfully battled cancer in 2004, served as a caring, motherly influence to many of the younger stars in the business, always willing to give advice, promote appearances and help them in their careers. She regularly undertook causes for wrestlers, and spearheaded a drive to raise money for Konnan’s hip replacement surgery and kidney transplant in 2007.

As expected there has been a tremendous outpouring of support and love for Georgie since news of her passing broke. That’s only natural, as she never failed to bid a fond farewell whenever the final bell tolled for a member of her extended wrestling family.

More than a generation of wrestlers, fans, promoters and pundits were part of that extended family. Georgie was a house mom, a den mother, to a legion of wrestling folk over the years.

“I don’t know what I’ll do with out you Momma G ... you were my support, my ear, my momma. I love you,” Tammy “Sunny” Sytch wrote on her friend’s Facebook page.

“Thank you for being an awesome friend. It breaks my heart to know you’re not a phone call away anymore. I’m going to miss those calls. You did so much good in this world. I love you,” wrote Marc Mero.

I knew Georgie since I was a fan —- back in my teen years. She was the first Lady of Wrestling bar none,” posted longtime wrestling magazine editor Bill Apter. “She had a warm and wonderful heart and glowed with enthusiasm for this business no matter what phases it had gone through. I cannot believe she’s gone.

“The last time I talked to her was a few months ago. I called on her cell phone to discuss something but she couldn’t stay on the phone. She was busy cashing in her winnings at the Atlantic City casinos she loved so much! ‘Hi baby,’ she said. ‘I just hit it big on the slots again — talk to you later!’ I spoke to her a few days after that but I never thought it would be the last time. What a sad day for all of us.”

Georgie was well connected, to say the least, in the wrestling business. Her amazing circle of friends ran the gamut from top stars to newsletter editors, to those long retired and those new to the industry. Her sparkling personality and infectious spirit endeared her to all.

But she also could be delightfully saucy and use her tough-as-nails New York demeanor to tell it like it was. She had, after all, been around the business longer than most, and couldn’t be worked by the most seasoned practitioners in this smoke-and-mirrors profession.

What I’ll remember most about Georgie is how passionately she loved this business and the people in it. She was the quintessential fan. A link to the past that sadly is becoming all too rare in a world that moves steadily along.

If there ever was a “friend to the business,” it was Georgiann Makropoulos.

She truly was pro wrestling’s angel, and now she can be heaven’s. And with the best seat in the house.

-- WWE is expected to announce Atlanta as the host city for Wrestlemania 27 in 2011 on Monday.

The Atlanta Business Journal reported Friday that the announcement of a “major sporting event” has been scheduled at the Georgia Dome, and the list of dignitaries for the press conference includes Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed and members of the Atlanta Sports Council, executives of the Atlanta Falcons and state officials.

The event could bring at least 65,000 fans from around the world to the Georgia Dome. Houston hosted Wrestlemania 25 in 2009 with an attendance of 72,744 with an economic impact of $49.8 million.

This year’s Wrestlemania is being held in Phoenix.

-- WWE performers Chris Jericho and Gregory “Hurricane” Helms were arrested and charged with public intoxication early Wednesday in Kentucky.

Helms also allegedly struck three people during an altercation inside a cab that occurred around 4 a.m. Witnesses told police that Helms struck three people, including Jericho, a female passenger identified as Ashley Storer and another man.

Helms was not arrested for the alleged attack because the alleged victims have not pressed charges.

Helms and Jericho were arrested for “alcohol intoxication in a public place.”

Storer, the woman who was allegedly struck by Helms’ elbow, told TMZ that the police blew the situation out of proportion. She said Helms and Chris Jericho were “play fighting” when things “escalated because we were drunk,” and that she may have exacerbated the situation.

“I was crying and drunk and tired from being out all night and I just wanted to leave,” she said.

Witnesses told police that WWE star Matt Hardy was in the taxicab with the two when the incident took place, and that he took off on foot when the driver pulled over at the gas station to call 911. Helms also allegedly ran away when the cab stopped but came back shortly thereafter.

Storer told police that Hardy, who didn’t return to the taxi, was completely sober when the incident occurred.

C.M. Punk (Phil Brooks) and Christian (Jason Reso) posted bond for Jericho and Helms later that morning.

Helms subsequently was removed from the Royal Rumble.

-- Mick Foley weighed in on the recent unpleasantness between TNA Knockout Awesome Kong (Kia Stevens) and shock jock Bubba The Love Sponge.

“She probably should have handled the situation differently, and in retrospect, I think even Kia would admit that she may have let her emotions get the best of her,” Foley wrote on his blog. “I happen to like both people involved — and, no, I’m not just saying that because Bubba is Hogan’s buddy. But I hope people — TNA management, Bubba himself — can understand why the situation was so emotional for her. I don’t want this situation to hurt anyone involved — Bubba included.

Foley also reprimanded Bubba on his language usage when the TNA on-air talent declared “(expletive) Haiti” regarding the disaster in that country.

“Bubba and I had a little conversation about the F-word, and how a comment that may not have seemed so offensive to him, could be so hurtful to others. We even had a good, respectful conversation about it on his radio show the next day.”

Foley said he told Bubba the day after the incident that he couldn’t have disagreed with him more concerning his offensive remarks.

“Bubba later said it was so much worse than being yelled at by some irate listener; it was like your dad giving you the dreaded ‘I’m disappointed in you son’ line,” wrote Foley. “Bubba looked sad, maybe even sensitive, as he tried to explain himself to me. ‘You know, I don’t think I really said anything that bad, Mick.’ I looked at the Love Sponge in disbelief and laughed. ‘Bubba, you said ‘(expletive) Haiti.’

“I like Bubba. I’ve known him for over 10 years, ever since the epic battle with Gerald Brisco in Tampa that made the Brisco-Patterson evening gown match look like Flair-Steamboat. I understand that it is sometimes Bubba’s job to shock his audience, even if, in this case, I thought the shock was in the poorest use of words imaginable. Hey, I even wrote a letter to the ‘O’Reilly Factor’ when I’d heard that Bubba had been fired a few years ago, because one irate father happened to hear the show, and took offense to it. Granted, my letter was hand-written, and probably never made it to New York City, let alone onto Mr. O’Reilly’s desk, but at least I tried — an effort that the Sponge man has never forgotten.”

-- TNA creative team member Vince Russo revealed in a blog last week that he’s been battling health issues lately.

“I’ve got to be honest with you, for the last month I haven’t really been myself because I’ve been dealing with a health issue,” Russo wrote. “A health issue serious enough that I was forced to go to a doctor for the first time in a decade. Now grant it, as I stated in ‘Forgiven,’ I am a hypochondriac, but believe me — this time there was something to worry about. As the days grew long, and the symptoms persisted, I just couldn’t help but to think every day about my life.”

WWE announcer Jim Ross said he hopes to return to WWE TV by Wrestlemania 26.

“I’m doing all that I physically can to be ready to participate in WM26 which is a huge, personal goal,” Ross said. “There is nothing in my professional career that I have been lucky enough to participate in that remotely compares to Wrestlemania.”

-- Honky Tonk Man (Roy Wayne Ferris) said on his Web site last week that he’s close to signing a deal with TNA.

That was news to TNA’s Eric Bischoff, who said Friday that he would “rather drive a rusty ice pick through my thigh” than work with Honky.

Honky “couldn’t draw flies if he were rolled in horse (manure),” Bischoff said in an interview with Bubba The Love Sponge.

HTM’s last major wrestling appearance was to induct Koko B. Ware into the WWE Hall of Fame last year.

He also revealed last week that he declined an offer to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year due to a scheduling conflict with a comic book convention in Toronto.

-- Any chance of TNA star A.J. Styles defecting to WWE? He said no way in a recent interview with The UK Sun.

“All the horror stories I’ve heard about WWE, there is no reason why I’d want to go,” said Styles. “ I’m going to tell you what I know as the main difference between the two companies ... They will stab each other in the back to get themselves to the next level. It’s not about me. It’s about us in TNA.”

-- Rey Mysterio recently told the Chicago Sun-Times that his 12-year-old son is already taller than him, and that he’s teaching him some wrestling maneuvers.

“He’s 12 years old, so I still gotta teach him who’s boss around the house. He likes to learn moves, he likes to learn holds. So we sometimes do a bit of mat wrestling. That’s the only way that I put holds or show them some of my moves. No aerial stuff. It’s just body movement and touching, wrist locks and what not.’’

Mysterio also has an 8-year-old daughter who’s already showing an interest in sports entertainment.

“What scares me is my daughter might like it even more. She’s only 8 years old. She’s taking acting lessons right now, so hopefully we’ll have some sort of connection between wrestling and acting/movies/soap opera.’’

-- A major legends tag-team convention will be held March 12-13 at the Sheraton Atlanta Gateway Hotel.

Legendsmania’s Tag-Team Series will feature some of the top teams in wrestling. Thus far confirmed are The Rock and Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson), Demolition (Bill Eadie and Barry Darsow), The Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condrey with Jim Cornette), Ivan and Nikita Koloff, “The High Flyers” Greg Gagne and Jim Brunzell, and Ivan Putski and Tito Santana.

Others scheduled to appear include Tommy Rich, Mr. Hughes and Johnny Valiant.

Iron Mullet, an ‘80s hair tribute band, will be kicking off Legendsmania on March 12. “Luscious” Johnny Valiant also will perform his one-man show at the party.

Visit www.legendsmania.com for prices and details.

-- Old School Championship Wrestling will put on a show at Halligan’s, 3025 Ashley Town Center Drive, West Ashley, prior to tonight’s WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view. Bouts begin at 5:30 p.m. and end directly before the pre-PPV show. The Rumble will air at 8 p.m. Adult cover is $7; kids 12 and under $5. Thoughts From The Brain

Well Last night me and a couple of friends went to a wrestling show in Independence, MS because our IWA show was cancelled due to the weather. Well as we sat there I just knew that the promotor -and I use that term very loosely-was gonna do what he normally does and that's talk crap about us and IWA, because he is not good enough to get himself over as a part of his own show. I thought of the past ten months when the promotion was at the top. We did Thunder on the Water and was running very well with good crowds. Then it started, all the back talking and jealousy began, and how people like The Asylum, Suicide, Syn, DJ Stunner and myself who worked all his shows, even got there early to put the ring up. Where most of us started our wrestling careers. But since we started working for IWA we are trash to him. Even when we agreed to still do his shows, to be honest it was because of Billy Russ not this other guy. He still has this obsession with Charlie Parks and IWA, he talks about us more than his own show and his workers. The best I can figure, he wants to be where we are, on tv every Saturday, or even run a show every week. But nope, he screwed his promotion up by trying to make himself the star of his show, a guy that runs a bar show and gets totally trashed while doing it. A guy that pretends a guy is Sammy Hall so he can feel he is somebody, but in all honesty people like Charlie and Corey Maclin have no clue who this guy is. That's like me going up to Bobby Heenan saying "I'm The Brain", he would probably react "Who the F@#% is this guy?" that's how it is with him. He feels like he is bigger than everyone else, and that's why people like Hollywood Jimmy, Mickey Ray and other guys, would love to come work for IWA, the#1 promotion in the mid-south. You can't blame them, can you? As I wake up from my day dream and walk to the back, Mickey Ray and Chris Styles battle in the ring for the title, all of a sudden I hear Al Hall say "Syn, Suicide and Stunner hit the ring" and my heart sank, I thought to myself here we go, I walk out and they are on the outside of the ring, then I see the promotor with the mic. Well as he talks about IWA and how he is gonna bring his best friends Pure Destruction, and run over all of us, I start to laugh. I remember hearing Brody Hawk dislike this jack-off as much as I do. About that time I look up and see Suicide spit right in big birds face! It was one of the top-ten funniest moments in my life, to see this loud mouth shut up. We gathered around talking about going in the ring and shutting him up for good, but we decided to just leave. I know something that he don't, his promotion is just about dead and he can blame himself. I'll leave everyone with a comment from a very good friend of mine." Tic-Toc Tic-Toc "

ROH Sues Ric Flair

Source: Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com

Ring of Honor has filed a lawsuit against Ric Flair, alleging that Flair owes the company over $40,000. The suit was filed this past Thursday in Bucks County, PA.

ROH says that Ric Flair was signed to make five appearances for the company, at $10,000 per appearance. Flair did not make the appearance in Montreal in July of 2009, and failed to repay the $10,000 that was paid to him for the event. Also, the suit alleges that Flair came to terms with the company to appear in an authority figure role on the ROH TV show. Flair was paid $35,000 for the TV appearances and only made one appearance. The second taping is when Flair showed up, and made a brief announcement to the crowd that he was resigning due to his relationship with WWE.

The belief was that Flair was going to use his relationship with ROH so that his son Reid could work there and continue his pro wrestling education. Those plans never happened, due to Reid being arrested on several drug charges last year. At this time, ROH has made no official comment on the deal.

You have to ask yourself - what is TNA paying him if ROH was paying that much?!

Recap: Hulk Hogan And Eric Bischoff's State Of TNA Address

Credit: Scott Remington and Pwinsider.com

- Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff were on the Bubba The Love Sponge show today, giving their State of TNA Address, here are the highlights…

Q: Confirm or deny Honky Tonk is joining TNA

A: EB "I would rather drive an icepick through my thigh than work with the Honky Tonk Man"

Q: How do you feel about Dixie wanting to go family friendly?

A: Hulk: Not going to happen, we are going to keep pushing the envelope.

Q: Are you going live on March 1?

A: EB: Haven't heard anything, I have just been reading it on the internet.

Hulk: Nothing has been confirmed, it's not a lock. I would like to have it but it's not set yet.

Q: Ongoing talks with Savage?

A: Hulk: "I would love to have him come in and manage his illegitimate son."

Q: Can you tell me the peaking order of how the writing goes:

A: Hulk: Bottom line is that Eric has the final say.

Topic comes up with Vince Russo about the "fake wrestling" twitter post.

· Not really answered just some disparaging words thrown at Russo.

Q: What do they think of Lacey Von Erich?

A: Hogan says she can't work.

EB: "We will teach her how to work", and likes her look.

Q: Are you guys big on Desmond Wolfe?

A: EB: Very high on him, good look.

Hulk says he killed it last night, he's "real close."

Q: What is the Montreal angle really, is it a shot at Vince?

A: EB: It's a shot "kind of", but it's entertaining and as long as they (fans) love it or hate it's about whether they are talking about it. Hang with it and watch where it goes.

Q: WWE has a farm system, are you guys going to be doing something?

A: EB: There is no developmental as such. Brian Knobbs and Saggs have a school they are looking at. "Hopefully we will be able to develop our own but we aren't ready for a farm system".

Name Associations.

Black Pope: Both EB and Hulk love him and he is going to be getting a push.

Abyss: Hulk: My favorite wrestler of all "he's my next John Cena". EB likes him a lot and committed to his character.

Q: Are you interested in taking a look at FCW guys?

Hulk: He says they definitely would be interested.

EB: Says "if they are free we could".

Q: Any WWE talent interested in TNA?

Hulk: Yup.

Q: Sting no showing them.

A: Hulk: Sting's a great talent, wishes he would have come up north for the WWE. He understands why personally he wasn't there but professionally it hurts the company.

EB: "Everyone has to make a commitment. I understand where Hulk's coming from. But if you're not 110% committed then it's probably not going to work out."

Q: Any chance we will see Hogan vs. Flair on TNA PPV.

A: Hulk: Doesn't really answer the question.

Q: Will we see the Australian tour on PPV?

A: EB: Not likely for financial reasons.

Caller: Hulk is the worst wrestler since 1989 and how can you evaluate talent? Stone Cold hates you and won't work a program with you?

- Lots of banter back and forth lots of swearing. Bottom line is they don't answer the question.

Q: Has working with Vince McMahon changed your thought process?

EB: There's no denying he's a great businessman, he's arrogant but he likes him and "I wouldn't hang out with him" but he thinks he's great. On a business level he is very smart. On a creative run he thinks he takes credit for too much and he doesn't think he's that good.

Q: Was there a time when you were going against the Rock and you just thought WCW was going to fail?

A: EB: "When AOL/Time Warner took over and put more hands on our product by making it more family friendly, that's when things starting taking a turn for a worst. Now history is repeating itself and we have a chance to go after that older audience."

Q: Are you going to be signing any more books Hulk?

A: Hulk: Not in the near future.

Q: Richard Ortiz, are you interested in him.

A: EB: I don't know him.

Q: Is there one talent from WWE you both want?

A: Hulk: Orton and Cena. But he would also love the Big Show.

EB: "I have a problem with Show, never been committed, he's lazy. I would like Cena and Orton."

- EB says he never crapped on Jericho, likes him, but doesn't think he can headline.

- Hulk would love to have Chris in TNA.

Q: Why do you feel it's necessary to acknowledge Vince on TNA?

A: EB: You can't win a fight with throwing a punch, "we are going the fight".

Q: If you could wrestle one person in TNA.

A: Hulk: AJ Styles, "if he doesn't get too full of himself".

A Detailed Look At Gregory Helms' Past Issues - Fights, Steroids, More

Coming off the heels of Gregory Helms' arrest Wednesday morning for public intoxication, here is a look at the numerous transgressions involving the WWE Superstar over the years:

July 2001: Helms gets involved in an altercation with fellow WCW alumnus Marcus Bagwell during a training session, which ultimately plays a part in Buff's quick dismissal from the World Wrestling Federation.

The two exchange words with Bagwell poking fun at Helms' speech impediment — or lisp as it were. According to Bagwell, Helms allegedly tells him, "We could either forget this now and move on or I can beat your brains in." Helms dares him to take a shot, which results in Bagwell slapping him across the face. Helms subsequently cowers away. A short time later, Helms creeps up from behind and strikes Bagwell in the back of the head with a frozen water bottle — requiring 19 stitches.

According to Bagwell, he actually tried to cover for Helms after seeing him sobbing in the bathroom because he thought he was going to be fired. When asked what happened by then-agent Fit Finlay, Bagwell simply told Fit that he fell. Later, Helms showed his gratitude by ignoring him when he tried saying hello, according to Bagwell.

WWF officials released Bagwell from his contract a few days later.

March 19, 2007: Sports Illustrated posts an article on its website investigating a steroid and HGH ring used by a number of professional athletes in several sports. The article mentions several current and former WWE wrestlers, including Helms, who was alleged to have obtained human growth hormone (HGH).

August 30, 2007: Sports Illustrated posts an article on its website naming Helms and nine other wrestlers to be given growth hormone not in compliance with the WWE Talent Wellness program. He was said to have received testosterone (anabolic steroids), human growth hormone and nandrolone (anabolic steroids) between November 2003 and February 2007. As a result of the infraction, Helms is suspended for thirty days for his first violation of WWE's drug testing policy.

May 6, 2008: Helms is assaulted in a nightclub in Johnston County, North Carolina, by an acquaintance, Dustin Narron. An argument between the two of them led to Narron hitting Helms in the face. Narron was later charged with assault and battery.

August 28, 2009: TNA performer Daniel Covell (a/k/a Christopher Daniels) is arrested in Smithfield, North Carolina on charges of driving under the influence after participating in a drinking contest with Helms at the WWE star's residence.

January 27, 2010: Gregory Helms and Christopher Irvine (a/k/a Chris Jericho) are taken into custody in Kenton County, Kentucky after police apprehend the duo for "alcohol intoxication in a public place."

Helms became violent as he allegedly struck Irvine, a male passenger, and a female passenger at a Shell gas station in the early morning. Helms reportedly left the scene after the incident, which led to police being called to the gas station. He then returned to the station and was booked with Irvine on charges of public intoxication.

Police say Helms was not arrested for the alleged attack because the alleged victims have not pressed charges — a requirement for an arrest in Kentucky if the police do not witness the attack.

More Info On Jericho/Helms Incident-Matt Hardy Involved, Two WWE Stars Posted Bond & Woman Says 'They Were Play Fighting'

The following is an article from www.TMZ.com:

WWE star Matt Hardy was among a group of people involved in an early morning incident that led to the arrests of Chris Jericho and Greg "Hurricane" Helms, this according to law enforcement sources.

Witnesses told cops Hardy was in a taxi with Jericho, Helms and several others Wednesday morning -- when Helms allegedly struck three people ... including one female.

Witnesses say Hardy took off on foot -- just like Helms allegedly did -- when the cab driver pulled over at a Kentucky gas station and called 911.

We're told Helms came back to the scene and was arrested -- but Hardy was gone for good. Cops are not pursuing any sort of action against Hardy.

As we first reported, the female passenger decided not to file charges against Helms over the alleged attack. Helms and Jericho were arrested for "alcohol intoxication in a public place."

Two WWE Stars Posted Bond For Jericho & Helms?

According to a report on F4WOnline.com, Phillip Brooks and Jason Reso, better known to WWE fans as CM Punk and Christian, respectively, were the two who posted the bond to bail out Gregory "Hurricane" Helms and Chris Jericho from their drunken incident Tuesday night.

The Woman In Helms-Jericho Incident Speaks - 'They Were Play Fighting'

According to TMZ, Ashley Storer, the woman who took an elbow from The Hurricane early Wednesday morning has decided to speak and clear things up.
Storer claims that Jericho and Helms were play fighting, and things escalated, due to them being drunk. During the play fight, she took an elbow to the face, and then at that time, the cab driver pulled over to the gas station, where the arrest happened. She also says that Matt Hardy was completely sober. Finally, she admitted that she blew things out of proportion, saying…

"I was crying and drunk and tired from being out all night and I just wanted to leave."

Note from Ryan Clark: This seems like a case of a bunch of buddies getting drunk and messing with each other in public. It appears as if they went out, got drunk, started 'slap boxing' or something along those lines and things escalated due to the alcohol involved. It's probably a thing where you wake up the next morning and say: "What the f#$& did I do last night"?!?! Lets be honest - we've all had those moments!
