Cause of death investigated by authorities

Newport, Ark. —
On Aug. 11, 2010, at about 8:11 p.m., the Newport Police Department 911 center received a call of a person having a seizure at the SWA Wrestling Arena, located on Highway 69 in Newport. Upon the arrival of an ambulance and officers, they made contact with victim Jeremy Wood, age 20 of Charlotte. Wood was found to be unresponsive and was transported via ambulance to a local hospital and then later transferred to a hospital in Little Rock.On Aug. 18, 2010, at 9:56 AM, Wood was determined to be brain dead by a hospital in Little Rock. Wood’s body has been submitted to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for an autopsy. During this investigation, Newport Police Department detectives have performed numerous interviews. It has been determined that Wood was training to be a wrestler as SWA Wrestling Arena on Aug. 11 when this seizure took place. Prior to the seizure, Wood had been at the arena for a few minutes practicing flips, rolls, and other basic wrestling moves. No witness has been able to identify any particular person or event on Aug. 11 or before that may have caused the brain injury which is believed to have caused his death.

This boy was a Warrior in the National Guard and Had Been To Iraq. I am retired military and I do believe everyone involved should watch their backs...SOLDIERS DO NOT FORGET THEIR BROTHERS... my 2 cents worth every penny

Why would you come on here making threats about people watching their backs? Dont you think that maybe enough damage has been done already? Do you even know the circumstances of his death? Because if you do, many of us that are very close to this story would like to know!
