UPDATE:

05/22/2010 – More on the Firing of Carlito

From Mike Aldren:

World Wrestling Entertainment fired Carlito (Carlos Colon, Jr.) this past week for an alleged Wellness Program violation and subsequent refusal to enter rehab. A report posted on the WWE website noted that his termination followed a first violation of the program.

However, WWE sources indicate that Carlito, 31, did not fail a drug test but instead was fired after he arrived at Monday's Raw in Toronto and management felt that he was unfit to perform.

John Cena wrote on his Twitter page today: "I am sad to hear the WWE has decided to release Carlito. I always thought he could, and should have accomplished more than he did. I wish the best."
