The Rev along with Shaun Tempers and Seven absolutely decimated the new tag team champions Adam Jacobs and Corey Hollis after the main event ladder match for the titles against Chrisjen Hayme and Patrick Bentley.
For months "He is coming" vignettes on the big screen have interrupted Ultimate NWA shows but finally tonight fans were greeted with "He is NOT coming....for he is already here." The Rejects music hit and The Rev introduced us to Tempers and Seven, who were there to send a message to anyone and everyone at Ultimate NWA that they meant business and would destroy the competition... and it would start with the tag team champions Jacobs and Hollis.
Seven and Tempers attacked the champions and hung Adam Jacobs off the back of a ladder and then placed a plastic bag over his head. The fans were screaming, crying, and pleading for something to be done. Referee Jimbo Slice was taken out as well as the Rejects did whatever they pleased and certainly sent a message to the locker room of Ultimate NWA.
Adam Roberts was victorious in his attempt to regain the Ultimate NWA Heavyweight Championship by defeating Ben Thrasher in a First Blood match.
Interim commissioner Chase D announced that Matt Fortune would not be allowed to accompany Ben Thrasher at ringside and that he, Chase D, would be a special enforcer for the match.
Ben Thrasher murdered referee Nick "Harry Potter" Richards with a huge boot that missed Adam Roberts. Roberts nailed Thrasher with a chair to the head, which painted him with a crimson mask.
Chase D saw that the referee was down and took off his suit jacket and shirt, revealing a referee's shirt! Chase grabbed the Heavyweight title to award it to Adam... but instead smashed him right in the head with it! Referee Richards came to and declared a no contest due to both men bleeding....
He then declared that the match would be restarted under sudden death rules. The first man to gain a pin fall would be the champion. Fortune was back out at ringside and was taken out by Adam Roberts, who was determined to not let D, Thrasher, and Fortune get the better of him. Roberts put the 300+ pound Thrasher on his shoulders and spun him off for a thunderous Main Event Slam and the three count!
Thrasher said post match that he respected Roberts... he should've listened to the people of Scottsboro, AL when they said Chase and Matt Fortune were snakes in the grass. He said they let him down and it was time to take care of business. Thrasher demanded a match with Matt Fortune for June 12 in Scottsboro and Chase D said he'd make it happen and that he was going to make it even better by adding a special guest referee... your new Ultimate NWA Heavyweight Champion Adam Roberts!
Also in action were Amos Moses, who defeated Cecil Plezing with Dan O'Manly in his corner. Jeremiah Flynt defeated Kent Reznor and the tag team of Anthony "Thunder" Ganz and Chris Lightning defeated Mike Posey and Exodus in the opening bout.
Come see the stars of Ultimate NWA when they return to the National Guard Armory in Scottsboro, AL located at 406 S. Cedar Hill Dr on Saturday June 12. Bell time is 8pm with doors opening at 7pm.
