On Saturday night,May the 8th,
Dirty South Pro Wrestling
(DSPW)
had once again another phenomenal,stellar,
spectacular wrestling event
emanate from the Volunteer Fire Department
in Castleberry,AL
as a SOLD-OUT,
nearly standing room only crowd
witnessed the 1st Annual
2010 DSPW Super Cup Tournament!!!
At the beginning of the show,
the Commissioner of Dirty South Pro Wrestling
Uncle Wayne,
came to the ring sporting a neck brace
due to an injury that he sustained
after being brutally attacked
at the hands of "Sadist Kingdom" member
"The Iconic Concept" Victor Cru
at the last DSPW event
"Night Of Champions"
that took place in Castleberry,AL
back on April 17th.
DSPW Commissioner Uncle Wayne introduced
the newly crowned DSPW Heavyweight Champion
Stone
to the ring.
Stone,
who became the new DSPW Heavyweight Champion
at the April 17th "Night Of Champions" event
in Castleberry,AL
by defeating Victor Cru;
whom had to substitute
defending the DSPW Heavyweight Championship
in the place of the fellow "Sadist Kingdom" member
Mike Metal,
attributed his triumphant victory conquering the DSPW gold
due to his hard work,his dedication,his perseverance,
his relentless refusal to give up
and the many wrestling fans whom have supported him throughout his climb
towards the top of the DSPW mountain.
That night,
Stone vowed to become a fighting,honorable champion
defending his coveted gold with tremendous pride
and against all comers regardless of the opposition.
All of a sudden interrupting the celebration,
out comes 3 of the members of the insidious faction
"The Sadist Kingdom"
"The Iconic Concept" Victor Cru,Mike Metal and
"The King Of Cha-CHING"
"Sugar Daddy" Shane Daniels.
A very upset and a highly irate Mike Metal came to the ring
and got on the microphone
claiming that Stone was a "bogus" champion
and adamantly demanded for a re-match
considering the fact that Stone
DID NOT defeat him
to become the new DSPW Heavyweight Champion
in which Metal was officially recognized
as the previous DSPW Heavyweight Champion of record.
DSPW Commissioner Uncle Wayne asked the new DSPW Heavyweight Champion Stone
if he wanted to defend his
championship belt against Mike Metal later in the evening.....
unto that which Stone immediately did not hesitate to respond
in his reply with a boldly confident,emphatic answer of
"YES!".
More about their upcoming match later.....
With that being said,
let's get to the results from the
May 8th DSPW 2010 Super Cup Tournament
in Castleberry,AL.....
MATCH #1:
In the opening bout
for the DSPW Fusion Championship,
the DSPW Fusion Champion
"Livewire"
JUSTIN OVERSTREET
emerged victorious in his very 1st title defense
as he successfully retained his title
be defeating the challenger
REX ANDREWS
via 1-2-3 pinfall
as Justin Overstreet
caught Rex Andrews by surprise as he rolled him up
in an inside cradle to score the 1-2-3 victory
and to retain the DSPW Fusion Championship.
Following the victory,
"The Minister" Zack Johnson (right)
and his followers of "The Congregation"
"The Priest" Matthew Johnson (left)
and "The Prophet" Isaiah Johnson (middle)
made their way down to the ringside area.
"The Minister" Zack Johnson persuaded and wanted to recruit
"Livewire" Justin Overstreet to have him join
and to become a member of "The Congregation",
however
Justin Overstreet adamantly refused his proposal.
When Zack Johnson did not receive the answer that he was seeking,
he sent his Followers into the ring
like trained,rabid dogs to both ambush and
attack the DSPW Fusion Champion.
However the dastardly,perpetrated plan of the 2-on-1 attack
of "The Congregation" backfired
as "Livewire" Justin Overstreet took matters into his own hands
as he was able to manage the situation.
That was until "The Minister" Zack Johnson sneaked his way into the ring
nailing Justin Overstreet from behind.
and the ruthless "Minister" Zack Johnson
clamped a painful submission hold
onto the DSPW Fusion Champion.
MATCH #2:
In the opening Quarterfinals Match
of the 2010 DSPW Super Cup Tournament,
"Sadist Kingdom" member
"The Iconic Concept"
VICTOR CRU
with "Sadist Kingdom" member
MIKE METAL
at ringside
defeated one of the members of
"The Congregation"
"The Prophet"
ISAIAH JOHNSON
with the leader of "The Congregation"
"The Minister"
ZACK JOHNSON
at ringside
via 1-2-3 pinfall
as Victor Cru delivered a diving rolling Fireman's Carry Slam
down onto Isaiah Johnson,
then finishing him off with a flying elbow drop
from off of the second rope
to score the 1-2-3 victory.
After the match,
DSPW Commissioner Uncle Wayne got a little measure
of revenge upon Victor Cru
as he attacked him with
an "ugly stick" made of solid,wooden oak
that he calls
"Lethal Lucy".
MATCH #3:
In the 2nd Quarterfinals Match
of the 2010 DSPW Super Cup Tournament,
J.T. ANGEL
defeated
THOMAS SHOCK
via 1-2-3 pinfall
with a wristlock sitout side slam.
MATCH #4:
In the 3rd Quarterfinals Match
of the 2010 DSPW Super Cup Tournament,
"Sadist Kingdom" member
"The King Of CHA-Ching"
"Sugar Daddy"
SHANE DANIELS
defeated
CHIEF LITTLE BEAR
via 1-2-3 pinfall
with a swinging neckbreaker.
MATCH #5:
In the 4th Quarterfinals Match
of the 2010 DSPW Super Cup Tournament,
XTREME G
defeated
CHRIS
"The Wolf"
BRACKIN
via 1-2-3 pinfall
with an amazing,death defying,
top rope swanton bomb.
MATCH #6:
In a Triple Threat Match
for the DSPW Tag Team Championship,
the DSPW Tag Team Champions
"The Enemies Of The State"
NERO JARDIN and CRAIG CRAVEN
retained their tag team championship gold
in their first title defense.....
ALBEIT DUE TO CONTROVERSIAL CIRCUMSTANCES
as they defeated the challengers
"The Minister"
ZACK JOHNSON
and
"The Priest"
MATTHEW JOHNSON
(w/"The Prophet" Isaiah Johnson at ringside)
and
"The Swat Team"
TROOPER and COBRA
via disqualification
as "The Swat Team"
whom originally had the match won by defeating
"The Enemies Of The State"
with their finishing double team maneuver
called "The Swat Bomb"
were disqualified when DSPW referee
DSPW referee Jeff "The Ref" Morton
discovered a steel chain
that was laying inside the ring
which was thrown in from outside the ring
by "The Congregation"
whom originally were removed
during the match after simultaneous 1-2-3 pins were made
by both "The Enemies Of The State" and "The Swat Team",
with the match having to be restarted.
"The Congregation" blatantly lied to DSPW referee
Jeff "The Ref" Morton with persuasion
claiming that one of the members of
"The Swat Team" had subsequently KOd the team of
"The Ememies Of The State"
in order for "The Swat Team" to win the match.
Therefore,the referee reversed his decision of the fall of the match taking the championship tag team belts away from "The Swat Team"
and awarding the match via disqualification
to the DSPW Tag Team Champions
"The Enemies Of The State".
DSPW Commissioner Uncle Wayne
ordered "The Enemies Of The State"
to defend their DSPW Tag Team Championship belts
against "The Swat Team"
at the next DSPW event that will be taking place
on Saturday night,June 19th
in Brewton,AL.....
in a
NO DISQUALIFICATION TAG TEAM MATCH!!!
MATCH #7:
In the 1st Semifinals Match
of the 2010 DSPW Super Cup Tournament,
"Sadist Kingdom" member
"The Iconic Concept"
VICTOR CRU
with
"Sadist Kingdom"member
MIKE METAL
at ringside
defeated
XTREME G
via 1-2-3 pinfall.
During the closing moments of the match
when DSPW referee Eli was temporarily knocked unconscious,
Mike Metal climbed up on the ring apron
as he knocked Xtreme G senseless with a hard right hand
while simultaneously Victor Cru caught and finished off Xtreme G
with his Cobra Clutch/Russian leg sweep combination move
called the "D.W.I."
advancing to the finals of the 2010
DSPW Super Cup Tournament
by scoring the tawdry 1-2-3 victory.
MATCH #8:
In the 2nd Semifinals Match
of the 2010 DSPW Super Cup Tournament,
the match ended just as quickly as it had begun as
J.T. ANGEL
defeated
"Sadist Kingdom" member
"The King Of Cha-CHING"
"Sugar Daddy"
SHANE DANIELS
as J.T. Angel caught Shane Daniels by surprise
in a roll-up
to score the stunning,unbelievable 1-2-3 victory.
MATCH #9:
In the Semi Main Event Match
for the DSPW Heavyweight Championship,
the match between the DSPW Heavyweight Champion
STONE
versus the challenger
and "Sadist Kingdom" member
MIKE METAL
ended in a 15 Minute time limit draw.
Before the match commenced,
Mike Metal issued a challenge
to the DSPW Heavyweight Champion
by boldly saying in absolute confidence
that he could knock Stone out
within 15 minutes of the match;
unto that which the sudden stipulation was both approved
as well as added.
Mike Metal did KO Stone
in the closing seconds of the match,
however the 15 minute time limit had expired
prior to DSPW referee Jeff "The Ref" Morton's mandatory 10 count
as Stone somehow managed to retain
the DSPW Heavyweight Championship
in his very 1st title defense.
Immediately following the match,
a highly frustrated and irate Mike Metal attacked Stone
as he administered a half nelson choke/body scissors submission hold.
As he left the ring,
Mike Metal bellowed out claiming to the unconscious Stone
that the DSPW Heavyweight Championship
still rightfully belongs to him
(Metal)!
A few minutes later,
a disoriented DSPW Heavyweight Champion Stone
regained consciousness
as he was able to make it back up to his feet
as well as making it back to the locker room
under his own power.
MATCH #10:
The Main Event of the evening
was the Finals to determine the winner of the
2010 DSPW Super Cup Tournament
between
"Sadist Kingdom" member
"The Iconic Concept"
VICTOR CRU (right)
with "Sadist Kingdom" member
MIKE METAL (left)
at ringside
versus
J.T. ANGEL
with his "Initial Shock" tag team partner
XTREME G
at ringside.
Before the match even began,
DSPW Commissioner Uncle Wayne
banned both Mike Metal and Xtreme G
from the ringside area.
In the closing moments of the match,
Victor Cru blocked an incoming superkick
by J.T. Angel,
then Victor Cru spun J.T. Angel around
and he took him down to the canvas
in a roll-up to attain the 1-2-3 victory
as the victorious "Iconic Concept" Victor Cru
not only had won the match and
the 2010 Super Cup Tournament,
but he also won $1,000 as well.
Following Victor Cru's victorious triumph,
the rest of the members of "The Sadist Kingdom"
Mike Metal
and "The King Of Cha-Ching"
"Sugar Daddy" Shane Daniels
joined their colleague in the middle of the ring
for his victory celebration.
As Victor Cru and Mike Metal had taken in the victory of Cru
winning the 2010 Super Cup Tournament all in stride,
it appeared that "Sugar Daddy" Shane Daniels had celebrated Victor Cru's victory
in a more excessive,exuberant manner
that was less than suitable to that of
Victor Cru and Mike Metal's liking.
Then in a sudden,shocking turn of events,
both Mike Metal and Victor simultaneously KOd
their own colleague
"Sugar Daddy" Shane Daniels.
To add even more insult to injury,
both Mike Metal and Victor had also officially kicked out
"Sugar Daddy" Shane Daniels
from the Sadist Kingdom" faction.
Moments later as the May 8th 2010 DSPW Super Cup Tournament
from Castleberry,AL
had drawn to a very exciting close,
all of the wrestlers and staff of Dirty South Pro Wrestling
came out to give a very fond,heartfelt,emotional,in-ring tribute
to both Sabrina and Mickey Godwinn.
The Godwinns have recently sold their share of ownership
of the company that they had both created and had owned
so very proudly and so very lovingly for 3 and 1/2 years.
Even though the Godwinns will continue to support and attend
several of the Dirty South Pro Wrestling events in the future,
the one thing that all fans of Dirty South Pro Wrestling
can be assured of is that the Godwinns have left the ownership of DSPW
in very good,solid,capable and confident hands.
DSPW will also continue to thrive and to strive
in presenting the wrestling audience
that come to their shows on a consistent basis
