Statement for XOW
By now everyone that comes to this site, knows about the unfortunate incident at the XOW wrestling event in Hernando Mississippi Saturday night. I have had a couple of days to reflect on what took place that night. While I made a statement Sunday morning, it was in time when my emotions were still running off the charts. I would like to take this time to clear up a few issues. I want to express my thanks to Hollywood Jimmy, Tia, and the rest of the staff at Wrestling News Center.com, for allowing me to use their site.
First and foremost I would like to apologize to the Xow fans, which have supported us from the very beginning. I would like to apologize directly to them for the way I came across in my earlier statement, and the language I used in my statement. I would also like to apologize to the fans for the incident itself. That is not what XOW is all about. Please do not judge the XOW, based on this one event. I have always tried to put on an entertaining show that is family oriented in these environments. We at XOW strive to put the best talent on our shows. While the reasons are still unclear to me why this happen, I will strive to do everything in my power, to see that it never happens again at an XOW show.
Next I would like to apologize to all the other promotions and workers I may have offended with some of my comments. I was wrong in making some statements about other promotions, and workers of these promotions. I realize now that these promotions are striving for the same things XOW is. While we compete for the same fan base, we should all try to keep a professional relationship. I will do my best in the future, to make sure I practice what I am preaching.
And lastly I would like to thank all the workers that work for XOW. I know there have been so hard times recently, but I feel there is still no reason we can’t make XOW a success. You guys have worked hard for me in the past, and I just wanted to let you know that you are very much appreciated.
I will be taking some time off from the business. This does not mean XOW is dead. Billy Russ will still be running shows. Please give Billy the support to make XOW a successful show. While I will be around, Billy will be handling all the business end, and making all the decisions for XOW. I look forward to seeing all my friends and fans at the next XOW show. Any suggestions or comments are welcome at anytime.
Sincerely
Tony Watts
