TFW Results from 3-28 (Benefit Show) in Fulton, MS

Results from the Benefit for Lucy Mae Terrell 3/28/09 in Fulton:

Neil Taylor started the show by coming to the ring, talking trash to the fans saying that they ought to be praising him, because he was King of Mississippi and he was ready to put it on the line to anyone that dared challenge him. The TFW promoter "Mama" Denise Blaylock told him that not only has she got his challenger, but she was going to get the fans involved by making it a leather strap match. They paid $5 to get a strap. The challenger was Josh Holly. The match was set.

Hittman def. the Backflip Machine LSD.

Next Dirty Rell Moe came to the ring to thank everyone for their contribution to the benefit. He began to talk about how he and Curlymoe got started in the business. He said that being voted as 2008 Manager of the Year was an honor. He was then interrupted by Tony " the Weasel" Watts. Watts then asked who Dirty was and went on about how he didn't deserve to be Manager of the Year and told a tiresome story about everyone he has managed. Dirty finally told him that he had no business sticking his "nose" (no pun intended) in his business and began to have Watts escorted out. But Watts then attacked Dirty, but Dirty retaliated on him. Tony Dabbs, Chris Styles and Josh Matthews ran into the ring and began to beat down Dirty. Curlymoe, Chris Kilgore, and Buff Bagwell then ran to the ring and ran them out of the ring. Buff then told Watts to get his boys ready for a match with them. Watts said only if Dirty is handcuffed to him. Dirty and Curlymoe proudly accepted and the match was set.

Pain, Inc. def. DC and Chop top the Clown with Izzy getting the pin on DC.

Bebe and Dagger got the win on Delectable Devon, Delicious Damion, Chis Chaos, and Jay Webster with Bebe getting the pin on Devon.

G-Moe Money w/Dirty makes his return to Mississippi getting the pin on Phat Foundation member "Big Daddy" Neno.

The Semi Main Event was of course Neil Taylor vs Josh Holley in a leather strap match for the title of King of Mississippi. The fans "whipped" Neil Taylor but not one touched Josh. Neil would retain his title as King of Mississippi as he defeats Josh Holley.

Main Event was "Tha Stunt" Curlymoe, "Southern Thunder" Chris Kilgore, and Buff "The Stuff" Bagwell w/ Dirty Rell Moe vs "Bad Attitude" Tony Dabbs, "The Future" Chris Styles, and "The Angelic" Josh Matthews w/ Tony Watts. Dirty and Watts was cuffed together. Buff dominated in the beginning, with Kilgore and Curlymoe getting some great shots on them. But Curlymoe would eventually get over taken by the Watts team. Curlymoe would hit the Vertical Spat and get the tag to Buff. While Dirty's team had Watts team in the corners beating them with series of punches and kicks, Watts hit Dirty in the face with powder. He gets free from the cuffs, but it was to late. Dirty's team shot Watts team into each other and Dirty's team win with triple schoolboys. Dirty then beat on Watts, sending him into the ring and Curlymoe hits him with the Stunner.

The fans enjoyed the show and were not let down. There were at least 3 main event caliber matches. The show raised $1947.00. Curlymoe, Dirty Rell Moe, and Lucy Mae Terrell would like to thank everyone for their contributions, donations, calls, and prayers, which made this possible.

Attendance approx. 225.

USWO Results from 3/27 in Nashville

108 chose to be entertained at the Stadium Inn tonight.

A ten bell for Steve Doll, moment of silence for Gordon's father, prayers for Krull and Cody Weatherby (both of whom are hospitalized) are done.

Mark Owen is OUR USWO official for the evening, while I serve as ring announcer.

Lee Cross beat Travis Starr with a neckbreaker in 7:00

Psycho Medic & Dyron Flynn beat Shawn Hoodrich & Kevin Dunn when PM hit the Scalpel on SH in 8:00 to get the pin on his birthday!

Josh Crowe (w/Damien Payne) beat the returning Steve Amani with a lowblow and a rollup in 9:00. DP's liberal interference throughout played a role in the finish.

Shane Eden beat Dominator in 8:00 with a superkick. D has issues with ugly people since he is "the prettiest man in professional wrestling". SE suggests harpooning D. Post-match, D comes back out to complain, which leads to Rage wandering out and dropping D with right fist.

USWO Jr. Champion Bryan Casey beat Justin Spade and Kevin James in a 3-way when he pinned Spade with a schoolboy in 9:00

Damien Payne (w/Josh Crowe) beat Steven Green by DDTing him from the top in 9:00 after JC (who had also interfered liberally throughout) had pulled SG's legs from under him, crotching him on the top turnbuckle. Though no "Andy Griffith" music played for DP, a fan brought him a fishing pole, lol.
Tony says SG will get a rematch. He also says that despite internet criticisms, he sees something good in the young lions of USWO.

USWO Champion Derrick Neal b Michael Jablonski (w/Nick White) in 12:00 with a rollup. MJ/NW launch a "sore loser attack" on DN that also resulted in ref MO taking a hit as well as Psycho Medic, who came out to save. Tony schedules DN/MJ in a bunkhouse match for next week.

USWO Tag Team Champions Tim Renesto & Saint vs LT Falk & Drew Haskins ended in a no-contest due to Payne & Crowe running in and attacking all four at 13:00. The dressing room empties and we have a mega-brawl to end the show. Tony makes a 3-way next week for the belts.

Wrestler Of The Week "Wildfire" Tommy Rich

Wrestler Of The Week "Wildfire" Tommy Rich

Tommy Rich will be teamed with his partner Doug Gilbert going against Brian Christopher and Jerry "The King" Lawler in the main event at Minglewood Hall on Thursday Night April 16th. This will be a wild brawl that nobody should miss. Tickets info: Ringside Level 1 $50.00, Level 2 30.00, and General Admission is $15.00.

Rich started wrestling in 1974 in the regional promotions in Tennessee. Throughout the 1980s, he alternated his time between Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama territories of the NWA. He won dozens of NWA regional titles during this time.

He is best known as one of the original stars of the TBS wrestling shows from the '70s and '80s. His bloody feuds with "Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer, Ole Anderson, Ivan Koloff, the Fabulous Freebirds, and every other major heel to come through the Georgia territory made Rich one of the most popular wrestling stars of the period.
On April 27, 1981, in Augusta, Georgia, he became one of the youngest NWA World Heavyweight Champions in pro wrestling history. He dropped the belt back to former champion Harley Race four days later in Marietta[disambiguation needed]. Many who follow wrestling couldn't understand the logic in the short title reign, although it was believed to give Rich a rub as a title challenger while at the same time leading the fans to believe that a world title might change hands at any time. Race stated in a shoot interview with RF Video that the title switch was to ensure a power struggle in the Georgia territory ended with promoter Jim Barnett victorious (Barnett was a minority holder in Georgia and the booker of the NWA title, and the title switch, with the fan interest and boosted live gates, shored up his position). However, the "Territories" episode of WWE 24/7's Legends series, "Freebird" Michael Hayes stated that the title change was a screwjob. Under the promoter's orders the referee made a fast count to give Rich the title without the permission of Race or the NWA.

He had a memorable bloody feud in Georgia Championship Wrestling with "Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer for the NWA Georgia National Title. The feud lasted close to two years, culminating in the "Last Battle of Atlanta," in 1983, which featured Sawyer and Rich in a fully enclosed, Last Man Standing cage match, which Rich won to blow off the feud. This match / cage is rumored to be the inspiration behind WWE's Hell in a Cell match. The only known footage of the match is owned by noted wrestling historian, Barry Ham. Sawyer and Rich tried forming a team for a short period of time afterwards to feud with a new team called the Road Warriors. Rich was later directed into a feud with Ted DiBiase.

Rich then returned to the Memphis area, where he formed a team with "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert known as "Fargo's Fabulous Ones". The previous Fabulous Ones, Steve Keirn and Stan Lane, walked out on the territory. They held the AWA Southern Tag Team titles in 1984, then dropped them to Phil Hickerson and the Spoiler (Frank Morrell). Afterwards, Gilbert turned heel and Rich and he had a brief, but intense feud, which began on television when the two were presented with a "Tag Team of the Year" award by announcer Lance Russell and two guests. Gilbert, unaware his former partner was at the taping, badmouthed Rich, then the International Heavyweight Champion, until Rich came out to confront him. Rich immediately got the upper hand, running Gilbert into the steel ringpost several times, bloodying him in the process before the cameras went to a commercial. After the commercial break, Gilbert told Russell he wanted Rich to come back out so he could apologize to him in person, stating he was wrong for still being bitter about the break-up of the team, and was fueled by jealousy of Rich's championship title reign and new found star status. When Rich accepted Gilbert's apology, Gilbert suddenly turned on him and rammed Rich's head into the ringpost, just as Rich had done to him moments earlier.

After competing in Southeast Championship Wrestling, Rich would again return to the Memphis area in 1987 and contribute to one of the greatest feuds in wrestling history. Austin Idol vs. Jerry Lawler went on for over a year and culminated in a hair vs. hair match at the Mid-South Coliseum. Rich hid under the ring for the entire event only to emerge during the cage match, causing Lawler to lose the match and his hair, which led to a heel turn for Rich.
After Bill Dundee later joined the feud on Lawler's side, it would climax with a tag team scaffold match that saw Lawler and Dundee emerge victorious and Paul E. Dangerously, Rich and Idol's manager, suffer a broken arm when he fell off the scaffold trying to escape from the fan favorites. From there, Rich went to the AWA and turned face again, engaging in feuds with Adrian Adonis and Kevin Kelly; in one memorable event that took place on ESPN's AWA Championship Wrestling, Rich and Kelly faced off in an arm-wrestling challenge when Sherri Martel, Kelly's manager, interfered on her protégé's behalf, leading Rich to retaliate by tearing off Martel's dress and leaving her in her underwear.
I

In 1989, Rich returned to the Georgia area. The National Wrestling Alliance, having been bought by Ted Turner in late 1988, was in the middle of a face lift and Rich was part of a host of veteran wrestlers to enter the promotion during this period. At first he was referred to as "former NWA World Champion", etc., but was soon relegated to midcard status. The push received by big names like Ricky Steamboat and Terry Funk and young talent like Brian Pillman and Great Muta, essentially bumped older talent like Rich, the The Iron Sheik and Wild Bill Irwin to the fringe.

Rich would mount an unsuccessful challenge to NWA US Champion Lex Luger in a series of title matches during this time period. He even dropped a match to the much older and soon to be retired Harley Race at the Great American Bash in July 1990.
In 1991, in another attempt to revive his career, he joined Alexandra York's York Foundation and became "Thomas Rich". He teamed with the other members, Terrence Taylor and Richard Morton to win the WCW Six-Man Titles.

When the York Foundation disbanded in early 1992, he became a heel jobber until he left WCW for the independent circuit. From 1993 to 1996, he wrestled for the USWA, American Wrestling Federation and Smoky Mountain Wrestling mostly as a heel. Some of his notable tag team partners in the USWA were Doug Gilbert and Gorgeous George III. In 1995 he attempted to regain the NWA World title, now relegated to independent status, from Dan Severn, but was unsuccessful.
He next went to ECW in 1996 as the "Big Don" Tommy Rich and joined the Full Blooded Italians (FBI), a heel group that included Little Guido and Tracy Smothers. He left ECW sometime in 2000 and has been wrestling in the independents ever since.

Jamie Jay Returns To ASWF In Tuckerman!!

Jamie Jay returns to ASWF to beat Johnny Morton. More pictures taken by Tia from last night show coming soon to the Wrestling News Center.

ASWF Results From Last Night In Tuckerman Ark.

Just like every Saturday night, Rickey Rowland would bring out our nations flag for the playing of our national anthem followed by a 10 ..Bell Salute to the father of ASWF’s McDaddy and Father-in-law of Johnny Harper.
After that was as said and done just as McDaddy was leaving the ring to go to the back Judgment would interrupt and start bad mouthing McDaddy. Well this wouldn’t last for long as McDaddy would open up a case on Judgment. He would then roll him up for a pin and get a 1, 2, 3 from Ricky Rowland.....
Just as the first match was about to start a familiar song would start playing. After a two week absence Commissioner T-Bone Terrence Ward would return to the announcing table. The Commissioner would tell Ricky that our normal referee was absent and he would be filling in as the referee for the evening.....

1st Match: Battle Royal....
This match really lived up to its name. An action packed, adrenaline fueled, thrill ride of a match. All would stand tall in this match putting on a great effort. However at the end Idol Bane would eliminate Cody Murdoch for the win.....

2nd Match: One Fall....
Jamie Jay vs. Johnny Morton....
Jamie Jay is a name that everyone in the Mid-South has surely heard of. He would make his return to the ASWF to take on Johnny Morton. Morton would fall short and give Jamie Jay would take home the victory.....

3rd Match: ASWF Tag Team Title Match....
Danger Zone (John Ellison/David Cox) vs. Johnny Hawk/Caleb King....
Serif'">This match would be long and grueling as neither side wanted to give an inch. With the titles being on the line, who would give and inch? Both teams fought until they could not compete any more. Johnny Hawk and Caleb King would walk away victorious.....

4th Match: One Fall....
Tommy Wayne vs. “Mr. Muscle” Morgan Williams with Athena Eclipse....
A match filled with momentum. At the end of the match Morgan Williams would execute the muscle cutter on Tommy Wayne, but to his surprise ....Wayne.... would kick out before the three. And with a little motivation from the fans Tommy Wayne would make a huge comeback and win the match.....

5th Match: Handicap Tag Team Match....
“Outlaw” Don Bass/Hollywood Jimmy Blaylock/Rodney Grimes vs. Casino/Demon X....
If you were to categorize this match it would have been part comedy and part action. Casino and Demon X would give Jimmy Blaylock and Don Bass exactly what they deserved. After an amazing double roll up pin by Casino and Demon X they would get the 1, 2, 3 and go on to enforce the stipulations of the match. Casino would handcuff Don Bass to the ropes. They would make Hollywood Jimmy wear a pig mask and salute the Arkansas Razorback flag. Then they would put “Mega Man” Rodney Grimes in a red dress.....
6th Match: One Fall....
Ray Ray vs. X-Kaliber....
Before Ray’s music would come to an end he was already into the ring. The referee had a hard time controlling the match due to the pent up anger in between these two superstars. X-Kaliber would nonetheless prevail in this all out fight.....

John Cena Challenges The Rock To A Match At WrestleMania 26

Source: MTV.com

Over the past year, John Cena has been very vocal about his feelings towards Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and how he's turned his back on the wrestling industry. Cena has called The Rock out on several occasions, saying The Rock has gone back on his word that he'd always remember the fans who made him a star. Now, Cena wants to settle their score in the ring.

In an interview with MTV, Cena said he wants to wrestle The Rock Dwayne Johnson at WrestleMania 26 for a one-night-only showdown of action stars. "I've been trying to wrestle him," Cena told MTV's Josh Horowitz. "It's not that he won't accept the challenge. He truly has a full plate."

Cena then set a date for the possible showdown and revealed that he's not even that confident that he could beat the Great One. "What a better showdown .. Dwayne Johnson, or The Rock, or whatever he wants to be called .. versus John Cena at, let's say, WrestleMania 26. I'm not even saying I'm going to win. He's a hell of an athlete. God-given ability. One of the nicest people ever to grace a WWE ring. I'd just like to get him back for a night."

Pictures Of A Battered Juvi Juice After Evans & Konnan Beatdown

These are pics of a battered Juventud Guerrera after his run in with Jack Evans & Konnan.

The incident happened in Mexico’s AAA federation, where the former WCW and WWE superstars both now work.

Juventud – also known as The Juice – then got in a fight with Konnan and indie star Jack Evans, which left him with a broken nose and severe bruising.

Speaking exclusively to SunSport, the ex-cruiserweight champion said: “This was my second show back with AAA and Konnan was not happy about it.

“We have had problems for years.

“I tried to talk to him earlier in the show and he ignored me.

“When I first made my return everyone was cool with me backstage, but at this second show the vibe was different.

“I went out and had my match, which was really Juicy, and when I returned to the locker room, I found my bag in a different area and it was wet.

“I opened the bag to find human faeces inside.

“I immediately grabbed the bag and brought it to the owners of AAA. They were in shock.”

Juventud promptly accused the former LAX member of being responsible. Konan denied it was him.

Juve then says he felt someone grab him from behind, adding: “It was Jack Evans, who I felt had been stiffing me in our match earlier in the night - kicking me multiple times right in the face.

“At this point, Konnan got out of his seat and held me down – and punches started flying.

“Finally Sr Roldan, the owner of AAA came in and broke it up.

“My nose has fractures, and I have lots of bruises. My eye is completely red but I still have my integrity and pride.”

Juventud also claimed that no one else in AAA will speak out as his rival is the “real boss” of the group.

He added: “I am really sad about this situation because at one time we were really close friends.”

The Sun are currently trying to reach Konnan and Evans for comment.

Kurt Angle Discusses Rhaka Khan, Divorce From Karen Angle, His Friends, Pain Pills

source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

Here are some more notes from Kurt Angle's appearance this past week on The Opie and Anthony Show.

Regarding his relationship with TNA Knockout Rhaka Khan, he said she's "good in the sack," has a good heart, is a good Christian, and is beautiful.

Angle talked about his divorce with Karen Angle quite a bit. He said once she got involved in TNA, the marriage went downhill.

He said Karen became an overnight star on television, and the divorce came out of nowhere, saying she texted him asking for the divorce while he was on the road. When he got home, she told him she wanted a divorce. He wanted to go to counseling, but Karen refused and she gave him divorce papers the next day. Kurt said he doesn't know what happened but he will soon find out.

Kurt said he doesn't care who Karen dates or what's she's doing these days as long as she takes care of the kids and keeps them away from her personal relationships. Kurt said he'll be happy for her if she gets a new boyfriend or remarries.

Kurt adds Karen wishes he'd die. He said it won't happen and Karen wanted to take his money, the kids and leave. Kurt said he'll always be a part of his kids' lives and if she moves to another state, he'll move to that state and live there too. Kurt said he bought Karen a house across the street from his own home. He also said he has split from Karen on three occasions, and this was the third house he bought for her.

As far as his friends are concerned, Pat Patterson told him he'd find out how many true friends he had in the wrestling business by how many stay in touch with after you leave the company. Kurt said two months following his departure from WWE, he was down to one person who still kept in touch with him, and now it's zero. When he was asked who the one person was, he said it was Daivari (Sheik Abdul Bashir). When Patterson told him he would find out he didn't have any friends, he thought he was full of it, but he was right. Kurt said "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and The Rock were his friends, but both are busy doing movies nowadays. He said he's close with Kevin Nash and Team 3D, but probably won't stay in touch with them when he retires.

During his appearance, Angle claimed that 95% of professional wrestlers don't use pain pills, but of the 5% that do, most get addicted and a few die from overdosing. He said he thinks the percentage of wrestlers using pain pills is the same as doctors and those in radio, but the wrestling business is the only one that gets criticized, saying most of the deaths are from the late 1980s and early 1990s when they wrestled twice a day and popped pills on a frequent basis. Kurt said 99% of those who die from pain pills are from that specific era. He said the wrestlers of today go to their hotel room and play video games.

Regarding steroid use, Angle said he doesn't do them, but did legally use them to recover from a broken neck. Angle noted his WWE drug test failure in the summer of 2006, saying he had a prescription, but it was one month overdue. Angle claimed TNA had a drug program in place and if you fail they’ll suspend you.

Vince McMahon Gets Into Fight With Lead SD! Writer Michael Hayes

Credit: ProWrestling.net

There continues to be a bit of a beef between Vince McMahon and head SmackDown! writer Michael Hayes. The bitterness between the two continues to be a topic of conversation amongst those in the company.

Apparently, Hayes made a late suggestion to add an inter-promotional match to the 500th episode of SmackDown! last week. This, according to several sources, prompted Vince to blow up at him - explaining they have more important things coming up than the 500th SmackDown, such as WrestleMania 25.

This isn't an isolated incident between the two, as McMahon is reportedly growing frustrated with Hayes, some of his ideas, and how they've played out in recent months.

Sting Considered For WWE HOF This Year

source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

-- TNA wrestler Sting's name actually came up this year regarding a possible induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.

The reigning TNA World Heavyweight Champion got support because a number of people involved in the company's creative and producing process that were asked for input were not even aware he was working for the competition.

Sting is on good terms with Vince McMahon, so the company will likely produce a DVD based on the WCW footage they own and consider him in conjunction for the Hall of Fame when his time in TNA comes to an end.
