On Saturdauy night,December 12th,2009,
the Gulf Coast based independent wrestling promotion
New Heights Wrestling
reached a milestone as they celebrated its 2 year anniversary
at the Walton County Boys & Girls Club Gymnasium
in Defuniak Springs,FL.
Despite several periods of heavy rain that occured throughout most of the entire day and evening,
it did not in the least bit deter nor turn away any of NHW's wrestling fans nor any of the diehard wrestling fans for coming to witness one unforgettable,phenomenal and spectacular wrestling show!
MATCH #1
In the opening bout for the NHW Cruiserewight Championship,
the match between
the NHW Heavyweight Champion
"Pure"
DOUG PITT
and the challenger
"The Famous One"
JOE MILO
(right)
with his manager
"Busty"
BECKI KENNEDY
(left)
at ringside
ended in a double countout as both men were counted out of the ring while they continued to trade back and forth fisticuffs as they were engaged in a heated brawl outside the ring.
Both men had to be separated and restrained by several NHW wrestlers as well as NHW security guards.
The brawl was originally instigated and incited inside the ring during the match by "Pure" Doug Pitt as he delivered a piledriver onto Joe Milo's manager,
"Busty" Becki Kennedy.
MATCH #2:
GUTTER
defeated
JAMES ENX
via 1-2-3 pinfall as Gutter pinned James Enx with a sunset flip.
Following the match,
The California Kid,Dynamite Doug and T-Bird made their way down the aisle en route to the ring.
The California Kid got on the microphone and he was very upset as he chewed out
T-Bird for pinning him 1-2-3 in a 3 Way Dance match at an NHW show in Defuniak Springs,FL back on November 12th,
when at the time both men were allies working together as a solid,cohesive unit.
The Cali Kid challenged T-Bird to wrestle him in a one-on-one match
right then and there.
However,The Cali Kid made a bizarre stipulation to the match that T-Bird;
under no uncertain terms,
cannot fight back during the match whatsoever!
The match was then immediately sanctioned and commenced as The Calfornia Kid continuously taunted,chastised and bullied T-Bird knowing full well
of the fact that T-Bird cannot hit nor fight him back at all.
After a few minutes,
frustration and tempers boiled inside of T-Bird and he could not hold back his emotions any longer as he pushed back and fought back against The California Kid.
Then,Dynamite Doug entered the ring and attacked T-Bird from behind
which led to Dynamite Doug and The California Kid stomping down upon T-Bird repeatedly.
Seconds later,"Pretty Boy" Donnie B. ran immediately into the ring and he cleared the ring in an abrupt hurry.
NHW Commissioner and ring announcer Dandy Jack
a.k.a. "Kangaroo"......
which BTW when wrestling fans at wrestling shows call him that particular frivolous nickname,
it REALLY drives him crazy.....LOL!
ordered Dynamite Doug and The California Kid to wrestle in a tag team match against T-Bird and "Pretty Boy "Donnie B. right then and there!
WHICH LED TO......
MATCH #4:
The team of
T-BIRD
and
"Pretty Boy"
DONNIE B.
defeated the team of
The California Kid
and
Dynamite Doug
via 1-2-3 pinfall as Donnie B. laid out The California Kid with a superkick,
then T-Bird finished off The California Kid with a springboard corkscrew legdrop from off of the second ring rope
scoring the 1-2-3 pinfall for his team.
MATCH #5:
In a match for the NHW Tag Team Championship,
the NHW Tag Team Champions
"The Invasion"
consisting of
"Mr. Electricity"
JERRY REINER
and
CRUZE
successfully retained their titles by
defeating the challengers
"The Swat Team"
COBRA
and
TROOPER
via 1-2-3 pinfall as "The Invasion" finished off Trooper with their
backbreaker/top rope elbow drop combination finishing maneuver
called
"Chicken And Biscuits".
Following the match,"The Swat Team" brutally attacked "The Invasion" from behind with Cobra using an illegal object that he put on his right hand
to KO Jerry Reiner
and then Cruze shortly afterwards.
"The Swat Team" soon followed that up by laying out Reiner with their powerbomb/sitout rear mat slam combination called "The Swat Bomb".
MATCH #6:
In the
'Battle Of The Big Men'
semi main event
for the
NHW Heavyweight Championship,
the NHW Heavyweight Champion
Scarface"
WAYLON BARLEY
successfully retained his gold in a very tough,
hard fought contested bout
by defeating the challenger
"The OutCast"
CALE CONNERS
via 1-2-3 pinfall as Barley finished off Conners with a double knee facebreaker to score the 1-2-3 pinfall victory.
After winning the match,
Waylon Barley sincerely thanked all of the NHW fans in the audience for their continuing support of NHW for the last 2 years.
He vowed to continue to be a proud,fighting NHW Heavyweight Champion
and taking on all comers for his coveted NHW gold.
Barley also paid homage,tribute and esteemed high praise
to the late former WWE superstar Eddie "Umaga" Fatu
who passed away on Friday,December 4th in Houston,TX at the age of 36.
MATCH #7:
In the main event
"King Of The Mountain"
Ladder Match
for the Gulf Coast Heavyweight Championship,
a new Gulf Coast Heavyweight Champion was crowned as
"The Human Wrecking Machine"
DUNHAM
emerged as the victor
as he climbed all the way up the ladder to reach and to remove
the Gulf Coast Wrestling Heavyweight Championship belt.
