61 were witness to the latest set of tapings (all but the first match were taped) for the as-yet-unreviewed USWO/ATL TV show (hint).
As usual, since this was taped for TV/internet viewing there will be shorter recaps of the matches themselves.
OUR officials for the evening are Mark Owen, JW Boogie Stratton, and Jamie Ferrari.
Harold Knight & ATL Jr. Champion Jake Allen b James Duncan & USWO Jr. Champion Lee Cross
Obviously no titles at stake here. After HK breaks free from doubleteaming and makes the hot tag, he keeps JD occupied on the outside while JA moonsaults onto LC for the pin in 7:00
Chris Michaels b Kevin Dunn
CM claims he will focus tonight and ignore rude chants directed at him. KD in control early as CM takes a couple of time outs. CM refocuses and gets control of things with the help of a headband from his tights that he uses to choke KD with. CM thwarts any offense from KD until missing on a broncobuster. KD fires away and DDTs CM for 2 then comes off the ropes but CM drops him with a superkick for the pin in 10:00
Chuck Taylor b Ty Blade
CT stops to question why a baby refuses to stand and show him the respect he deserves, lol. CT does his best Richard Lowe impersonation when TB winds up his arm in a wristlock. CT shoves TB into a ringpost and takes control of the match. TB makes a one armed comeback, slipping out of CT's awful waffle and catapulting him into the corner. TB rolls CT up but CT rolls through and adds the handful o'tights to get the pin in 8:00
ATL Champion Chrisjen Hayme b Mark Anthony by DQ
This is a title match. After initial exchanges, MA is all over CH until he misses on a moonsault. MA catches CH's crossbody and Samoan drops him. MA then throws CH to the floor, where he grabs a chair and hits CH with it for the DQ in 5:00
MA stands on a chair and woofs. Chicken Hat rebukes some who are cheering MA, whom he refers to as a "nut job".
Intermission. Chicken tries to peek through the curtain but a hand pops out at him, lol. Ace Rockwell and Shawn Tempers will be here next Friday.
Tommy Mercer vs Jeff Daniels (w/Dominique) was declared a double DQ
JD/D are color-coordinated this week as D's pink pants match JD's headband and socks (I am forced to color-coordinate with Anne too). TM rushes the ring and attacks JD, working him over pretty good for a while. JD escapes a sleeper via a mule kick to the groin and chokes TM in the ropes. Ref MO counsels JD on this and we get the moment everyone was waiting for: D wanders over to take over the choking! JD tries a couple of different sleepers but TM is able to work free and blocks JD down. JD rolls out and TM follows. They brawl on the floor for a really long time as ref MO has to keep chasing D away and starting his count over. TM pounds on JD and ref MO tries to restrain him. TM gets very angry with this and decks MO! Other refs come out to break this up and Gordon commissions this as a double DQ in 16:00
Damien Payne & Josh Crowe (w/Hot Rod Biggs) b LT Falk & Mitch Ryder to win the USWO Tag Team Championship
Not only is HRB back but so is his whistle. LT/MR have their way early, causing the trio to regroup a couple of times. LT ducks a double clothesline but JC pulls him up and DP lariats him to cut him off from MR. LT gets worked over in the wrong corner for a while. LT whiffs on an enziguri and DP sets him up for a Paynekiller. LT stays on his feet and backdrops DP and we get TAGS!! MR knocks HRB off the apron then he and LT set up to whip DP/JC together. DP/JC reverse the whip and MR ends up hitting LT! JC holds LT over his shoulder and DP DDTs him for the pin in 13:00
HRB celebrates! LT helped out as MR has already left.
USWO Champion Jerry Lynn b Rick Santel in a 2/3 falls match
JL enjoyed me playing The B-52s "Rock Lobster" during intermission. RS jumps JL during the entrance, dragging him into the ring and slamming him for the first fall in under a minute. JL gets some offense in to start the second fall but RS chinbreakers him and tries to use sleeper holds on him. JL fights out and fires up. RS pushes JL back to the corner but JL breaks out a tornado DDT to get the second fall at 8:00.
Third fall sees JL bulldog RS from the top then RS slips out of a cradle piledriver try. JL goes up top and RS follows, trying to suplex JL from the top. JL pushes him off, comes off himself and neckbreakers RS for the third fall in 12:00
JL poses with the belt and RS attacks him from behind then covers him and counts his own pin. RS then grabs the belt and hits JL in the chest with it. Fans upset but RS says he don't hit people with missing teeth!
